🌟 We are delighted to learn that Heather Thomas has been nominated for Sailor of the Year 2024 at the British Yachting Awards.

⛵ In April this year, Heather led a 12-strong, all female crew on a race around the world aboard the ‘Maiden’.

🏆 It’s the first time a female British skipper has ever won a round-the-world race, and the first time an all-female crew has won.

Heather has a long association with Sailing Holidays, having worked with us as a Hostie, Skipper, and more recently as an RYA Instructor.

We are so proud of all Heather’s accomplishments!
