Today is a sad day - the day leaves Totally Tailored.

Since the summer of 2021, Gabi has been at the heart of the guest experience at our boutique bespoke private tour company.

She went from being a nervous new intern (thanks ) to the voice of calm customer service for our guests and an unwavering positive presence in all our meetings. We will be eternally grateful for Gabi's consistency, dedication & organizational power.

We wave her off to join the Walt Disney company where I'm sure she'll flourish 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

Missing you already! 💂🏼‍♀️

Taylor Swift is now in British Isles for her Eras Tour! We've certainly been feeling the "Swift effect" with a spike in our private tours as well as transfers to and from Wembley Stadium. Our resident Swiftie, Gabi, has written this blog post "London Boy: A Swiftie's Guide to London" talks about all the places Taylor mentions in her song from "Lover" that you can easily visit while in London. 🩷🪩🎤✨

Today marks the one year anniversary since the Eras Tour kicked-off in Glendale, Arizona! Since then Taylor Swift has travelled all over the United States and has embarked on the international portion of the tour ,starting in Mexico City, Mexico last August. Taylor will be in London this summer and....

We were delighted to look after Jeff and his family who enlisted our help for a week long stay in London.

We designed an itinerary that was efficient, fun but not overwhelming with services including orientation tour of Bermondsey, transfers to Stamford Bridge, a day trip to Bath and the Cotswolds and shopping for fabrics in

Totally Tailored Pup: Cassie

How did you join the Totally Tailored team?

My mum was a stray in Belarus and when I was born a Ukrainian charity took me in. Charley found me through them and I was flown in to start in the touring industry. I’ve been a natural ever since!

What’s your favourite London attraction ?

Tower Bridge, of course. I’ve always loved engineering and I get a thrill from the glass walkways. Also they let me in for free!

How do you spend your free time?

You can catch me mud larking on the Thames River Bank. If you want to make my day, you should ask me to join one of your tours. Free of charge ofc;)

London Foodie Guide: Tash

What first attracted you to the role of Foodie guide?

Well, my life revolves around food it in some capacity or another. I can chat about food all day: what I ate, what I’m going to eat, where I’m going to eat it etc. Being a Food guide seemed a natural and fitting extension to share my passion for food with others. And I absolutely love it!

What’s your top tip for food in London?

Seek out where the locals eat and don’t be afraid to try new food.

When you are not leading Totally Tailored food tours, where can you be found?

I’m mainly found teaching fun cookery classes, photographing food or making backgrounds/surfaces for photography and video shoots. More recently though at an allotment learning about organic gardening.

How did you begin working with Totally Tailored?

Myself and TT’s founder, Charley used to work at one of London’s open-top bus companies but never crossed paths. But years later, we met for coffee and hit it off. Charley asked me if I’d be interested in doing Food tours and I said “yes... yes please! That was six years ago!”

What are you most excited for this year?

I am most excited about my move to Edinburgh in October. London will always have a special place in my heart but I’m very excited to explore a new city.. and continue working for Totally Tailored as Edinburgh Manager! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What is the most unusual job you’ve had in London?

I have had a lot of unusual jobs in London but the most unusual has to be playing the ghost of The White Lady at the Tower of London (swipe to see a photo!).

Totally Tailored Intern: Isabella

How did you begin working at Totally Tailored?

I came to London to study abroad in January with an organization called FIE. In this program, I spent about two months taking courses and two months participating in an internship. I was given the incredible opportunity to intern at Totally Tailored and will be here until the end of April!

What is your favorite thing about London?

Something I love about London is how there is always something to do or a new spot to try. I grew up in the same suburban town in South Florida my whole life, so I got used to going to the same spots. So,it has been amazing getting to just wander the streets of London with no plan and always finding a new way to spend the day with different cafes, parks, or museums!

What is something you miss from home?

The Sun! I honestly don’t find the rainy or cold days here annoying by any means. However, I miss the feeling of stepping out of a cold building in Florida and being met with the absolute blazing sun. I never thought I would miss the Florida heat, but here I am.

Three Questions With A Totally Tailored Team Member

Totally Tailored Founder: Charley

What inspired you to create Totally Tailored?

I've worked for most of the major tour operators but found the one-size-fits-all approach of the big buses and groups unsatisfying. I felt proud of my city and wanted to show it at its best. By creating private experiences I could ensure I was listening to people's unique interests and going at their pace and style. In 2016 I was made redundant from a guide job at the BBC. This was the kick I needed to set things up!

What do you love most about what you do?

Now that my tourguiding days are mostly behind me I feel very fortunate to enjoy managing people. I like to think the name 'Totally Tailored' goes beyond the tours to the way we deal with all individuals in the business. I also love assigning the right guide for each unique family or group - or guide matchmaking as we call it!

What different job have you had that has prepared you for this role?

I used to be a stand-up comic. Comedy is all about timing, and so is tour guiding! Four years on the circuit means I have a great network of funny and unusual people- some of whom make excellent tour guides 🎤

First up, Guest Experience Manager: Gabi!

How did you begin working with Totally Tailored?

I started working as an intern in 2021. I'm based in Arizona but Charley and I were able to find a rhythm that worked well. Charley loved the America style, and time zone that I brought to TT so when my internship was over she offered me a permanent position and I've been working for TT remotely ever since!

As Guest Experience Manager, what has been your favourite guest interaction?

I have many! But one of my favourites was an American family who booked multiple tours with us during a summer trip to London. When they discovered I lived in the same city they gifted me a gift card to Frost Gelato, the gelato shop their son created, as a thank you for planning their London itinerary 🍨

What is your favourite thing about London?

I would call myself an honorary Londoner. I absolutely LOVE everything, from the touristy bits of Westminster to the less touristy bits of Southwark. However, my absolute favourite thing in London would be to get a vegan afternoon tea at Fortnum & Masons Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon followed by a show on the West End!
