What a week it has been !
The Foyle Cup in the city has seen 740 teams from all over the world Grace our region with their football skills this week.
Tourist attractions and providers have been inundated with families and supporters enjoying the fantastic hospitality our city has to offer.
I have 2 young lads who countdown to this week every year and a husband who takes the week off work to voluntarily coach their teams (like all other coaches and organisers involved )
Restaurants and cafes have been bustling - hotels packed to the rafters , our city walls and museums have seen swarms of football kits - the rewards of this voluntary locally organised event are endless!
And although my boys haven’t lifted any trophies - a great week was had across the board!

We are operating as normal all over the Bank holiday weekend . Everyday public tours at 10am,12noon,2pm and 4pm only £6pp - no need to book just show up.
We also have our public Derry Girls tour on Saturday at 12noon - spaces available - booking essential!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending this fantastic production in the by .
The talent in our town is incredible, the singing, dancing and acting was next level .
I saw a show a few weeks ago that was huge on the west end for years and West Side Story last night blew it out of the park.
Showing until Saturday - please make it a priority to see this , it is truly unbelievable 👏👏 .mullan1964

Managed to get everyone in one place at one time this evening and get a few pictures thanks to the amazing Gerry Temple 👏

It was a pleasure to host a media crew from Germany , Switzerland and the US on a tour of our city yesterday evening - a beautiful evening for it ! I walked with the group on the historic walls - showed them the Derry Girls mural , walked the , over the peace bridge - finished with an evening meal in all whilst showcasing our Legenderry city ! As always it is such a pleasure to be in a position to showcase our city worldwide and to work on behalf of and Tourism Northern Ireland ☘️

Such a pleasure to host in the city today again.
I welcomed Michael to the city in 2022 to feature on his hit PBS show “Ireland with Michael” and I am delighted to be a part of it again - it’s also coming to Amazon Prime soon.
The amount of visitors I have had tell me they have seen my first appearance on his show is phenomenal and shows the large audience who will enjoy another showcase of our historic walled city 💛

Today we had our first public tour of the season and it was fully booked even with in full swing.
As always I ask people where they are from and this lady was from Greenville North Carolina - where I visited over 20 years ago on the Ulster Project - I came to find that she is on the board for the Ulster Project and is planning to host teens from Derry this year - just like I did all those years ago.
(For any of our international followers - the Ulster Project started in the 80s to bring Catholic and Protestant teens together out to the US).
We shared fond memories and it’s great to see the project continuing to this day - you are doing fantastic work and it was such a pleasure to host you on tour 👏💛

Today marks the official retirement of most importantly my friend, mentor and colleague Garvin Kerr 💛
18 years showcasing our city to visitors , leaving a positive impression on everyone he met and encouraging the promotion that our city deserves.
We will miss you with the yellow jacket on Garvin 💛 and I know I will be getting requests for you for years to come and rightly so - a fabulous tour guide and gentleman 👏
Nobody deserves the down time more than Garvin does - enjoy it and Happy Retirement 💛💛

Last night the team at McCrossan tours had a fab night out in - fantastic food , entertainment and service 👏
Well deserved for our team who safe to say worked so hard all year and maintained 5 star reviews all round 👏💛
🎄🎄We will NOT be operating our public tours on Christmas Eve , Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day
Back in full swing on December 27th - normal hours and we are operating as normal over New Year aswell 💛

Amazing Grace Yacht Charters thank you so much for having us on board today on an amazing cruise on the river foyle 💛
What a fabulous way to see our Legenderry city - I highly recommend this for a day out - be it a staff party or just a friends get together - the views and vibes from the river are just 😍😍
As I always say on our tour - the river which runs through our city is why we have such a vast history - from the plantation to emigration and World War 2 and everything in between - to be on the river and seeing the view that so many thousands of people had in years gone by is just priceless .
Please if you book an experience as a Christmas gift this year - book this - you will not regret it!

Wow what a Halloween 🎃
30 spooky tours done in 6 days (and we had our regular history and Derry Girls tours operating alongside) all sold out !
I was so proud to support as many local artists and businesses as possible this year.
👏 To the guides & who are fantastic local actors conducting many fantastic spooky tours . Also Sorcha Bonner & Philip O Neill whose forte is usually history tours but they became ghost guides over the weekend
👏to the GCSE drama students from Thornhill College who we had planted in different locations for scares.
👏To our tour guide team for both conducting tours and acting as security on tours -
👏to the Pulse Security team who kept our groups safe and together.
👏To for warming everyone up after their spooky walk ☕️
👏To for working alongside us and organising many TV and Radio appearances - from Frank Mitchell to UTV to Downtown Radio - the list is endless !
👏👏And mainly to the people of Derry - you are legends for supporting us not just at Halloween but all year round 👏👏

I'm sure many of you remember Derry tourism pioneer Martin McCrossan aka 'Mr Derry'. Martin died in 2015, aged just 53.

Having established the first major tourist walking tours business in the city, you would have thought that was the end. But that was where Martin's daughter Charlene stepped in. Today, Martin Mc Crossan City Tours is flourishing, with Charlene at the helm.

Today we talk about Martin, and before a special Halloween Ghost Tour with guide Philip O'Neill, we also meet the drama students of Thornhill College who are enacting the ghost tour in real time in around the City Walls.
