The Narrow Boat Experience

Whilst looking for a way to spend the children’s inheritance a suggestion was made about buying a narrow boat to spend leisure time on the water. Within a few weeks the job was done! Then we thought......why not share this pleasure with others and so the idea of letting the boat out has now become a reality. It has been a steep learning curve but with the support of the boating community and Sawley Marina we are now ready to explore the canals and rivers.

We have named her Tiller Girl and she has now had a full makeover! She is a 57 foot narrow boat built locally in 2014 with solid oak flooring and galley units, full size gas cooker, multi fuel stove for the colder evenings and a large shower for that taller person! Initially built as a 2 berth live aboard there are beds enough for 4 people and dogs are welcome.

Tiller Girl is now taking bookings for 2020.
