Nuthatch Cottage is a wonderfully restored Foresters cottage on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean. The Cottage overlooks the beautiful Flaxley Valley known by the Romans as the Vale de Castiard (Valley of the Chestnuts)

The Cottage is not only a fantastic place to unwind but a great base to explore the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and surrounding area in all of its natural beauty, either by foot, cycle or car. Nuthatch is a real passion for Vicki and myself having being involved in its restoration from the outset. We really do enjoy maintaining what we’ve built but also improving where we can always coming up with new ideas for the cottage and it’s garden. Our cedar gazebo and now our new wood fired hot tub take pride of place in our garden.
