Gold Hill Travel was formed during 2013, initially aiming to meet the transport needs of a sister company Gold Hill Holidays (see www.goldhillholidays.co.uk), who have operated continental tours, mainly skiing, since 1989. We have 3 equal owners / directors, whose history as friends and experience in the travel industry goes back a long way. We believe our coaches have lots to offer to groups, are
very suitable for many types of work and are supported by an excellent team of friendly, helpful drivers, all DBS checked. Getting technical, our vehicle is a Setra 416 GT-HD, Comfort Class 400, with Mercedes engine. It's over 13m long (12m is standard) so there is plenty of space inside for up to 53 passengers to enjoy relaxing in our luxury reclining seats with leather head rests. It is equipped with an on board drinks facility and toilet for the comfort and convenience of our passengers. In addition to the safety features (ABS ASR and ESP) the vehicle is also equipped with lap belts on each seat. It's fitted out with winter tyres and snow chains. The M1 corridor is our main area of UK operation. With our main base in Loughborough, but with a second depot in Gerrards Cross. For most of the winter we are committed to meeting the coaching needs of Gold Hill Holidays, however, there are still complete weeks, some weekends and many Monday to Friday periods during the winter when the coach is available.
