It is now hard to believe that the bedroom in Dad’s Shed used to be Mum’s florists shop. ‘Shirley’s Flowers’

It is even harder to believe it’s been 10 years since we lost Mum. A truly inspiring woman who’s grit and determination has shaped our family and laid the foundations on which we have been able to build 💗

We have had a super busy 2024.
We can’t thank everyone who has chosen to stay with us enough. We really do appreciate each and every booking.

2025 is looking even busier and we have exciting news to share over the next few weeks so keep an eye on our socials for updates ….

If you’re staying with us during November and December a visit to see the seal colony is not to be missed!
We do still have some weekends available in Dad’s Shed if you would like to come and visit.

Donna Nook is well known for its population of grey seals visiting in the winter months, as well as its array of bird life. Find out when to visit, how to get here, and what facilities this nature reserve has to offer.

It’s a beautiful autumn weekend here Claylake Cottages . We can hardly believe will be November next week!

November is a wonderful time to visit the Lincolnshire coast.

Not only do we have the best sunsets and beautiful colour changes all around us, our sandy beaches are dog friendly throughout the winter and the seals arrive to have their pups.

Dad’s Shed is super cosy and warm if you prefer to snuggle up with a good book or film. We still have weekends available during November for anyone looking for a short break.

Today we remember him on what would have been his 80th birthday.

Without him Dad’s Shed and Claylake Cottages would not exist. We are sure he would have loved to have known how much everyone enjoys their time here.

Tonight we will raise a glass in his honour. If you have enjoyed a stay in Dad’s Shed, are looking forward to staying here in the future, knew Dad or just want an excuse for a mid week drink, we invite you to raise a glass too!

Our guests last week enjoyed exploring the local area & left a lovely review ❤️

‘A wonderful week spent in Dad’s Shed with some really hot, summer weather. It was a pleasure sitting out on the west facing patio in the evenings and enjoying the peaceful scenery. The Hot Tub was also a welcome feature which we certainly made use of. Never been to Lincolnshire before so we wanted a central touring base and this location surrounded by roads with a mercifully low volume of traffic meant we could easily access places such as Lincoln (a must visit), Skegness, and of course, nearby Louth with its stunning Parish Church and vibrant shopping and eating areas. In summary Dad’s Shed is excellent accommodation and has all the facilities you need’.

On changeover day at Dad’s Shed we empty the hot tub, give it a good clean, change the filter and fill with fresh water ready for our next guests to enjoy 👙🥂💦

Happy Friday! Due to our guests having to change their plans we are now able to offer a 7 night stay commencing Friday 9th or Monday 12th August. This is our only full week available until mid autumn so be quick, we are sure it will be snapped up soon!
