Anyone waiting for details of Private Advance Tee Times (PATT) to come out for Old Course 2025, it looks like it has a new name - Swilcan Package.

Looks like the Swilcan Package might work in a similar way to PATT, but SALT encourages you to sign up to their newsletter for early notification of details.
This is the most cost-effective way of securing an advance guaranteed Old Course tee time. BUT it is always heavily subscribed and your chances of success are quite low - somewhere between 5% and 15% perhaps, depending upon the month.

"So glad I found this service. It was a last minute decision on my part - literally the day I was flying to Scotland - to see if I could get paired up with others looking to play the Old Course.
I took what I thought was a gamble on this service, and within an hour I was matched with three others, and we were ready to submit for "walk on" availability. Going through Chris' service allowed me to bypass having to drive to St. Andrews (from Edinburgh) the day before and put my name in the lottery.
Anyway, we tried for two days and got lucky to get a 7:40am tee time the second day!

Thanks to your amazing Ballot Buddy Match, I got to play the Old Course last Friday at 12:00 in perfect weather. After being drawn on Wednesday evening, I flew out of Zurich early Thursday morning and then took the bus to St. Andrews. Always a treat to play Market Rasen GC. It grabs your attention from the get go with an opening par 4 of 447 yds to a raised, sloping green, and holds it right up to the end with a closing 182 yard par 3. Guile rather than power gets you round safely in between.
Friendly, welcoming members' club with a price tag of just £50 for a mid-morning tee time. Even cheaper in the afternoon. Go play!

Lincoln (Torksey) Golf Club. Even under grey skies this is one beautiful golf course. Kudos to the green keeping staff for presenting it in almost perfect condition. It plays as well as it looks too and at £65 it's well worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Hampton Court Palace GC is a treat. It's flat and open, so you think 'bland'. But, that is to ignore the brilliant bunkering and super-penal rough. Play this on your visit to London and enjoy a great value green fee (£35 or thereabouts) and beautiful surrounds.

Perhaps Estoril Golf doesn't have the cachet of some of its illustrious neighbours, but neither does it have the price tag. So if you're looking for more of a fun, value game then definitely consider this track in the hills above Estoril. There's some serious distance between green and tee on some holes, so a buggy is essential here.

The Arthur Hills designed Oitavos Dunes never fails to challenge and reward. The course sits beautifully in its natural landscape of sand and scrub, and the generous fairways are a godsend when the wind blows here (which it invariably does). Avoid revetted greenside bunkers and you can build a score on true, fast greens. This is the must-play course in the Lisbon area.

Atlantic Course at Penha Longa. By Estoril, west of Lisbon. One of Robert Trent Jones Sr's designs. Relatively wide open fairways make this quite a forgiving course, although the par 3's are on the long side and feature elevation change. Always a breeze blowing in these parts and RTJ is challenging you to play the right club on your approach. There's often a front bunker waiting for your ball. In great condition, compared with a year or two back. Recommended course, maybe for your opening round of a Lisbon golf trip.
