Here's a message from our QHSE Manager Kevin,

"Turner Iceni , the ethos of working safely and going home at the end of your shift is emblazoned on PPE throughout the Company, it extends not only to employees but also to the safe transfer of offshore engineers (PAX’s) working on wind turbines.

This ethos throughout the company contributed to zero lost time incidents on all Turner Iceni boats, and across all departments during 2024.

Whilst it’s hard to improve on zero lost time, the company aims to continue to deliver the best maritime fleet at its disposal, ensuring planned maintenance is carried out on time, by adopting the best safety standards across its workforce, and continuing to deliver the best customer service experience during each and every PAX transfer."

🛠️ Smooth Sailing Ahead: Iceni Vengeance Prepares for the Season! 🌊

Iceni Vengeance recently visited the Isle of Man for important maintenance, which included a lift-out, belly scrub, and jet RAM reseal.

This maintenance was crucial to prepare the vessel for the upcoming season.

Master Angus expressed his gratitude by saying, “We would like to extend our thanks to Kuba and the team at Ramsey Shipping Services in Ramsey who were fantastically flexible, enthusiastic and could not have done more to ensure that the work was undertaken quickly and efficiently.”

We would also like to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of the entire crew and engineering department involved in the maintenance, ensuring the vessel is in top condition for the new season.

⛴️We are looking for more hands on deck! ⛴️

Turner Iceni are looking for deckhands to work on our fleet of CTV’S.

Do you have excellent watch keeping skills?
Outstanding teamwork and communication skills? Great customer service skills to assist in navigation and to provide exceptional service to passengers and crew? If yes, we need you on board!

Your core responsibilities will include maintaining the vessel, handling cargo, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. With a focus on teamwork and communication, you will contribute to a positive and productive work environment while gaining valuable experience in the maritime industry.

You will be required to work across our fleet of vessels based around the UK and on occasions, Europe. Accommodation and subsistence will be provided when working away from home. There will be 2/2 rotation and seasonal opportunities to work more if desired.
Now down to the nitty gritty!

Qualifications required for this role:
Full, in date STCW covering PST, FPFF, EFA and PSSR.
ENG medical, in date and allowing to work up to category 2 waters.
Slinger banksman certificate
Full UK driving license
Good customer service skills
Ability to be flexible and open-minded

Desirable qualifications:
Previous CTV experience
AEC1
Short ranged VHF

Our crew executed non-standard craning operations, adapting to our client’s request to keep the wind farm operational. Instead of using the pontoon, we efficiently loaded bags off the Quay wall.

“From no previous experience at sea to joining a lifeboat crew to being a deckhand. After years of not knowing what career path to take I thought I would take a risk and completely change my career. Being the only female on deck was daunting at first but the crew made me feel very welcome. I have learned a lot since joining Turner Iceni and really love what I do and hope to progress down the line. As an only female sometimes, you feel quite challenged, but I am always willing to show I am just as able as males in the industry.”

We’re excited to share that Iceni Venture is currently undergoing a comprehensive gearbox overhaul, with the assistance of Alicat Workboats and MIT (Marine and Industrial Transmissions).

Disassembly: Expert technicians are carefully disassembling the gearbox to inspect each component.
