Sightseeing, mackerel fishing and deep sea fishing charters departing from Lyme regis

Absolutely cracking day today well worth braving the cold NE breeze.
The plan was in 3 parts, first to fish last of the tide for smoothounds and whiting , we had a few goer whiting, dogs, small eels and smoothounds to nearly 11lb.
Part 2 drifting for po***ck, we found them and had great sport with Gary taking the biggest at just over 13lbs.
Then part 3 ( which I think in the morning the boys thought I was joking) a look for a bream.
Again we found them, and had a couple of hours of great sport with fish over 2lb, not bad for Feb!!
We also had congers to 40lb, cuckoo wrasse, dogs, pout , poor cod and a thorney ray.
And to finish the day we a dolphin riding our bow wave on the way in.

We are doing 3-8 hour fishing trips all year weather permitting.
With 1 hour fishing and sightseeing trips starting in half term.

Nice 4 hour fishing trip today in the February sunshine.
Steady fishing and good company.
We had some nice whiting, pout, a double figure bullhuss, congers to 18lb ish , a little thorney and spotted ray and only 1 dogfish.

What else is there to do on such a beutiful sunny calm January day than go fishing, we started on the po***ck found a couple but not as busy as I had expected but we filled in with some nice bass.
The last couple of hours were spent at anchour and had good steady sport with whiting, pout, dogs, poor cod, cuckoo wrasse, bullhuss and thornback ray and stu had a nice big squid perfect for my tea.

Out again today, weather not quite as expected, it seems poor forcasting is becoming the norm now!
Steady fishing all day with the normal winter species.
Dogs, pout , some nice whiting , a few congers and a couple of pretty thorney rays, and pete took most species by adding a lonely poor cod!

We have made the most of the nice weather this Christmas with several 4 and 8 hour fishing trips , had some great laughs and fun days with good fishing although the last couple of days were quite hard with very little tide, but we got there in the end and found a few fish.
We have had several nice whiting , dogs, some surprisingly sporty pout, bass, scad , poor cod, po***ck , congers , thorrney, small eyed and undulate rays and some good sized smoothounds.
Also still lots of squid activity.

Today we had top rod Harry out again ( harry the po***ck king) and although hard fishing , he still had the biggest fish , most fish ( so he told us) and the most species!

We are running trips throughout the winter weather permitting and are now taking bookings for next year.

Back at it today, and with weather slightly better than forecast we went straight out to look for some reef po***ck, successful mission with sporty fish all round up to about 6lb's.
Next was a quick hour to see if there were any bream still hanging around, unfortunately as expected it wasn't to be, so back inshore for the whiting we had several with bob taking the biggest couple just over the 2lb mark, we also had lots of dogs , a smoothound and small eyed ray.
We even saw a dolphin.

We will be running 3-8hour trips all winter, weather permitting also 1 hour sightseeing and 1 hour fishing trips over the Christmas holidays.

Out again today, forecast not very accurate and conditions rather rolly but we had fantastic fishing.
Started on the bream and to say hectic would of been an understatement , we had well over 70 up too 2.5lbs in the first couple of hours, a nice grey gurnard and a couple of congers.
When the tide went round we had a quick look for a whiting but only found dogs so anchour back up and we went drifting a reef , lots of po***ck to around 6lb , several nice sized bass, squid to 1.5lbs and Mark had a beutiful John dory.
Cracking day especially for November in tricky conditions.

Cracking day today with the tangle twins.
Plan A was a quick look for some better bream and then on to some whiting, well we found some great bream and stayed on them until we lost the tide, lots of fish up to about 2.5lb , great for November!! We also had a conger, tub gurnard and some lovely live bait size scad.
As you can imagine with such good live bait the whiting fishing went out the window as we went and converted the scad to some cracking Bass!
And a squid thst came up on my bits rig.

We popped out for a 4 hour fishing trip over high water this morning, dreaded easterly wind against tide pushing us all over the place.
Great company but the fishing was rather steady with too many small bream shredding the baits at the first stop. After catching a couple of squid at anchour we had a a small move and targeted them on the drift catching a few nice ones, most coming to some nice jigs stu bought back from Japan.
We also had had bream, dogs , congers and scad.
We are running 3-8 hour fishing and squid fishing trips weather permitting right through the autumn and winter.
Beginners or experienced welcome, gear can be supplied and frozen bait included.

A solitary dolphin has made Lyme its home, being spotted a number of times in the past couple of weeks swimming around the buoy off of Lyme Regis beach. Today, while on board Jurassic Boat Trips's Susie B we were fortunate enough to get a few glimpses of it.

We have been making the most of this lovely weather over half term.
Plenty of bream,po***ck big congers and other bits on the deep sea trips.
Mackerel are a bit scarce so we have been drifting an inshore wreck on the 1hour trips with most people catching a fish or 2.
And on about 90% of the trips we have been seeing a friendly dolphin who has taken up residence.
I even had a couple of hours off this morning to take some friends squid fishing, we all caught plenty for dinner.
A few places left tomorrow on sightseeing and 1 hour fishing trips, and deep sea fishing Saturday.
And we will be running fishing trips right through the winter weather permitting.

Unfortunately the water was a bit to coloured for our squid trip today, but we managed to winkle out a few , Connor was top rod with 5 and the biggest.
We also has bream, scad, pout and mackerel.
Finished with 2 sightseeing trips and saw dolphin both trips!

Massive thanks to Bert at mobile marine and Richard and Sam from lyme regis harbour who changed there plans at short notice (and sam coming in on his day off ) so we were able to grab today's short weather window to put susie B back in the water after a spruce up and engine service by Bert.
