With Christmas around the corner its time for us to sign off. We're fully booked until Monday 30th Dec and only taking limited bookings over the New Year week, but we'll be back once January gets started and hope to reconnect with many of you then.

In the meantime, from me and my Daisy team, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and send our thoughts for love, health and happiness into the new year. ###

Yes, we are celebrating two years in business! It's flown by - we've met so many amazing people from all walks of life and done sooooooooo many journeys! Thank you to all you lovely clients - it's been a pleasure to help you all. We don't get snow in the New Forest very often but the morning was full of it today. Sadly, this meant some clients had to cancel but others still able to go out.

One lady who we take every couple of months to the bank met our new driver Carol for the first time. After she got home, Mrs M took the time to call me to say "Got back safely through the snow with your very lovely lady Carol. Just phoning to say what a nice lady and how helpful she was." Awwwww! Always great to hear feedback like this and be able to pass that back to the team.

Every week, we wash and clean our Daisy’s and check all the essentials like oil, water and tyres.

Twice a year they go for a pamper at the garage for a full service and a pre-winter check.

And once a year they go for their annual Council inspection which is in addition to the usual MOT.

This week, it’s Daisy 1’s turn and yesterday she went to have her tyres and tracking checked after a visit to the garage.

Thank you to the fab team at Downton Service Station Ltd and Tyremarx New Milton who help us keep our vehicles on the road!

We regularly take clients to our wonderful local Lymington New Forest Hospital as well as Southampton General but this week we're also going to Royal Bournemouth, Christchurch Hospital and Spire Southampton!

Last Saturday the Driving Miss Daisy UK network gathered to celebrate its 10 year anniversary. Joined by the founders of the service from New Zealand, we were honoured to have Jack and Melanie Harper with us. Driving Miss Daisy Lymington was even more honoured to win the Community Impact Award!

It was a great event and lots of fun was had by all. A shout out to our amazing Customer Service Team at head office who organised everything and support all the Daisy Teams throughout the year. Thank you guys!

Yesterday our new Companion Driver Deborah took a lovely 91 yr old chap from Kingfishers Care Home to Southampton General Eye Unit. She stayed with him all the time, accompanying him to his appointment and helping him throughout.

This morning I had a wonderful call from the friend that had booked us to say he was over the moon with our service, felt so well taken care of and thought Deborah was worth her weight in gold.

That kind of feedback is why we do what we do and it means the world to hear how much it meant to this gentleman, what a relief it was for his kind friend who has been supporting him for many years, and how important our service is supporting the wonderful care homes in our community.
