We are delighted to be the first place in the New Forest that is able to offer accessible self catering holidays, which the whole family can enjoy. Based on the outskirts of Lymington, just 2 miles from the New Forest National Park, we are an ideal base for exploring the area. Pre Christmas breaks are still available in our accessible holiday cottages and are the perfect location for Christmas shopping - the New Forest has some amazing local produce - looks out for the New Forest Makers - and - and their are local treats for all budgets available from New Forest Gin, to chocolate, to New Forest shortbread.

On request we can offer holiday vouchers for family and friends to put towards next year's stay!

This morning for the first time since 2021 I made it to Remembrance parade to capture photos of the event - the last time I was here some of the congregation were wearing facemasks (still learning about COVID).

Times keep changing - the service is now broadcasted to the High Street - last year was the first year this happened.

It was lovely to sit and reflect on the services and the involvement of the Solent and just watch families observe, listen and reflect, here near the Lymington Soldier whilst noticing and being described the details, there is not one but two Soldiers.

Recently we added a new painting to one of our cottages, this was painted by Doug - one of his favourite New Forest views.

We love it when a guest shares with us their hobby,and gives us a keep sake that we will always treasure.

Amazing to think this painting was painted in 1995 - 19 years ago - when "Our Bench" was just begining and it has been loved on my mum's wall ever since!

An evening walk on Lymington Quay

Every Friday night at 10pm till the end of August there are fireworks on Bournemouth pier - this free event is enjoyed along the beach, drive if from Boscombe and you can even park on the sea front. Here's tonight's fireworks as a speeded up video! Will you be planning to do this at the start of your holiday?

A recent ask - could we put the riser recliner chair in the master bedroom so you can use the ceiling hoist to hoist from the bed to the chair? Yes you can! You can sit in the chair, look out the window or watch television - this would be the view from the chair!

We have winter and springs weekends, short breaks and week availability... We think it is a great time to visit the forest as you can see so much further through the woodland.

The other week I promised to check out the new beach hut toilets at Barton on Sea, and what can I say but wow! There is a slope from the car park near the Beachcomber and at the bottom of the slope, you are out the wind and can enjoy watching the waves - with your £Radar key you have access to this great #changingplacesuk Take a look.
