Lovely cottage, one double bedroom with bathroom in room. Twin with waffle robes, blankets and lovely soft towels.

Downstairs we have lounge with log burning stove, snug with electric log burner and large chesterfield sofa. Bathroom with underfloor heating and walk in shower. Large kitchen diner with range cooker and fridge freezer. Large garden. Off street parking.

Milford is a beautiful village with lovely cafes and shops. Joyful Cottage is only ten minutes walk to the beach. Head further afield to Lymington or take one of our favourite walks round to Keyhaven and head to the Gun Inn for a meal or the New Forest Emporium for tea and cake.

We welcome up to three dogs.

Let’s talk about cake!

We have had some mixed weather on this trip so what better than heading to one of our favourite cafes or tea rooms.

We headed out through the back of Keyhaven and up towards Braxton and then crossed the main road to the Water Gardens Emporium and Cafe. We had seen posts on Facebook so thought we would give it a try. The Lemon Drizzle cake we chose did not disappoint and was a nice pit stop before walking back to Milford.

On the way we passed Braxton Gardens Tea Rooms and have promised ourselves to give it a try next time.

We have a filler at our other cottage, Joyful Cottage also located in Milford on Sea from 24th - 26th July, enjoy two nights in this lovely cottage with large garden for just £300.00.

Plover Cottage is fully booked until March but we still have some Winter Warmer Weekends left at Joyful Cottage in Milford on Sea in the New Forest.

Arrive Friday and stay as late as you like on Sunday for only £325.00.

One double bedroom, one twin. Two bathrooms - one with walk in shower and underfloor heating. Lounge with log burning stove. Snug. Large kitchen diner and large garden. Off street parking. We provide all wood and kindling for the log burner and have plenty of cosy blankets and waffle robes to make this a lovely cosy winter stay.

The village is very peaceful and has lovely shops and cafes. Enjoy walks along the beach which is only ten minutes away. So much to do in the area and the Forest itself is only a short drive away.

It is not too early to book for Christmas 2024.

Our recent guests loved the cottage and it’s lovely Christmas decorations. Milford on Sea itself is beautifully decorated too.

“Cosy, warm and great location. We love Milford on Sea and was recommended of this cottage by my sister who has stayed there previous. We visited Milford for the Christmas Tree light switch on, the weather was frosty and this cottage was cosy to return to, Christmas decorations and fairy lights made the cottage even cosier. Well presented, comfortable beds, and the kitchen had everything needed. Even had parking. Good communication with the hosts. Many thanks for having us.”

You might wonder why you would want to take a break this close to Christmas? Well it’s a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping in our local shops in New Milton and Lymington or even go further afield. Stay for the weekend and you can choose some more unusual gifts from the local markets.

Lymington was busy today and looking very festive despite the serious fog.
