Come and meet the wonderful Erika and Dawn from the New Forest National Park Authority. As part of NPA Ranger Days, they will chat with our visitors about looking after the New Forest. Everyone is welcome to join us at the centre for this family-fun activity.

Southern Water is working to resolve the issue. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route wherever possible

It's Heath Week! ๐
Did you know? The New Forest has the most extensive area of heathland remaining in Europe (over 10,000ha โ the equivalent of 14,000 football pitches ๐คฏ)
The term heathland is used to describe a number of different habitats such as heather dominated heaths, grasslands and waterlogged bogs or mires.
It is of particular importance for birds, invertebrates and reptiles and supports the largest breeding population of Dartford warblers in the UK.

As part of the Verderers of the New Forest Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme, restoring heathland is a key priority to ensure it can be enjoyed by future generations.
