Let's flashback into Lynton & Lynmouth's past ...

Cross Street 1947. Photograph by Dr Nightingale, taken during one of Exmoor’s worst winters. Elliott’s Garage is now Costcutters, on Lee Road.

Dr Nightingale was a long serving local doctor who served the community after the Second World War, doing many of his home visits on horseback. He was a keen amateur photographer and a collection of his superb black and white photographs can be seen in the museum.

The big weekend of celebrating a unique moment in history has begun! Here is a sneak peak of one of our specials we have exclusively devised for this weekend, all are tasty Spanish twists on some all favourite British classics.
And as the sun is shining by popular demand, we will start with our sunny dessert offer.

All favourite rice pudding infused with orange, lemon and cinnamon, served with caramelised rice krispies and brandy soaked oranges with cinnamon sugar. Yum!
