Tired after a long day we arrived at the gorgeous Riad Aljazira! Quiet and serene with the noise of birds and hubbub of conversations nearby it’s been a great place to rest after a busy day!

Off to explore the souks of Marrakech today before heading up to Imlil in the Atlas Mountains to meet BBC journalist Alice Morrison and go trekking tomorrow.

Already I love this place!

So… you’d never think I was a travel agent 😂

6.5 hours later after monstrous rain in Birmingham, M42 roadworks, M25 in general I roll into Gatwick North Terminal. Then manage to park my car wrong TWICE before finally reading the instructions to my Meet & Greet, then realise my hotel is in the South Terminal! One monorail ride later…

In my defence I chose to test out Holiday Extras “Mystery Hotel” Option and ended up in the snazzy Hilton Doubletree so not moaning too much!

Lovely hot shower, great room, now tucking into a large G&T and room service!

I’m going on work trip to Morocco!!! Hosted by the amazing Intrepid Travel, 12 of us are going on an Women’s Expedition adventure to Morocco starting in the Riads of Marrakech, before heading up to the Atlas Mountains to the town of Imlil where we’ll meet BBC Journalist aliceoutthere1 Alice Morrison, and go for trek into the mountains before heading into the Sahara for a bit of “camping” (ahem Glamping)!

I’m so excited to be given this opportunity to visit a new country and culture, so I will keep you posted on my adventures which start from London Gatwick tomorrow morning! That’ll be hardest part I think, travelling on the M6 and M40!!!

With all the early snowfall in Alps these last couple of days I got all excited and bought these!

Fischer Ranger 96 173cm! I was lucky enough to test these last season in the fab resort of Pila with Pilaski!

Obergurgl is one of my favourite resorts in Austria. Located only a short transfer away from Innsbruck in the Ötztal, Obergurgl is also one of Austria’s highest resorts at 1,907m, so extremely snow sure all season round. It links in with its sister resort Hochgurgl which is even higher at 2,150m. The Ötztal Super Skipass will give you access slopes in Gries, Hochgurgl, Hochötz-Kühtai, Hochsölden, Niederthai, Obergurgl, Sölden and Vent. The price includes a €3 refundable lift pass deposit.

Most of the 112km Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area is above 2,000m, so it’s one of Austria’s most snowsure resorts. The gentle run by the Hohe Mut middle station is great for building your confidence, and little skiers will love the fun slopes and kid-sized snow park. If you’re eager for some high-speed cruising, the wide-open blues and reds in neighbouring Hochgurgl are hard to beat!

During September and October, the Alpine Cattle Descent or “Viehscheid” marks the end of summer. The return of the herds to the lower fields is one of the most celebrated Alpine Festivals in Switzerland - and one of the most beautiful as the cows, sheep and goats are artfully decorated with twigs and flowers.

Approximately 400,000 cattle, 200,000 sheep, goats and alpacas spend the summer up on the alp in the Swiss mountains.
