Don’t believe the hype!

Coed y Brenin trails are very much open, despite many in the industry implying otherwise.

Just remember to pack a flash, and to stop at local pubs or cafes after.

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in Golfie.

In spending a year researching and writing Your Trail report for , it became clear that Scotland is about 10-15 years ahead of the rest of the UK in terms of cooperative trail management and provision.

Much of this is down to:
1. Having a National MTB Strategy, approved by Government, to create the aims and objectives.
2. Having a facilitatory organisation in to lead development in all key areas.

The result of this time and investment is no better illustrated and felt than the difference between high street today, and when I lived in Scotland 15 years ago.

Deeply excited to help drive the rest of the UK forward.

Thanks to for a photo of me upright, and for upping my skills to be upright!

Absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm and inspiration on show at the Scottish MTB conference in Peebles this week.

So many good points, but the highlights have to be:
Presenting the report launch with from project sponsor

Riding the superb blue grade trails with ’s Robbie George and discussing what this could add to Wales’s offering.

Attending the Scottish MTB awards and being so exited for what we have the potential to achieve in Wales.

Being invited to try an adaptive eMTB by and feeling the joy that riding on three wheels can bring.

Much to process, and many exciting ways forward.

- get ready for MTB.

A year into the role as manager, it feels awesome to be back in the Tweed Valley getting ready to launch The Trail report.

Today was spent seeing the stunning work completed by in and getting reacquainted with the DH lines on the opposite side of the valley.

1,500 copies of the report have been delivered, and it’s all systems go for launch at the Scottish MTB conference on Thursday.

Follow for further updates, and report download when the launch goes live.
