Reminder: Consultation Closing Tomorrow!

The consultation on the proposed visitor levy closes at 4pm tomorrow, Friday 10th January. It is crucial that we make our voices heard. Please take a moment to share your views through the official consultation to the Senedd.

While organisations like MWT (Mid Wales Tourism) will be submitting responses on behalf of the sector, it's vital that individual businesses also speak up about how this levy specifically affects them.

Let’s ensure our voices are heard! Don’t forget to submit your response before the deadline - Tomorrow at 4pm!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all the incredible entries! We know every awards ceremony says this, but honestly – the judges REALLY did have some tough choices this year. With so many high-scoring entries, it’s a true testament to the quality of our sector. From small businesses to large, every single one of you should be proud of your achievements. 🙌

Tourism leaders are calling on the Welsh Government to provide interim funding to keep open cafes and shops at three Natural Resources Wales (NRW) visitor centres until businesses can be found to run them.

MWT Cymru (Mid Wales Tourism) chief executive Zoe Hawkins and Mid Wales Tourism Forum chairman, Steve Hughson have both expressed grave concern about the economic impact of the closures, announced last week.
