👱♀️Our Rebekah has just returned from a two week Trip to Menorca, here’s what she had to say about her trip.
✈️ I flew from Birmingham Airport with Tui, My Tip for a smooth airport experience is too definitely book the airport lounge, the Departure lounge was very busy when we got there for our afternoon flight, so escape the hustle and relax before boarding in the Aspire Lounge or Clubrooms.
📍 I stayed in Beautiful Villa, Located in the Resort of Cala en Porter, Located just a Minute walk from the Centre of the Town. Within walking distance of the Supermarkets, a great selection of Restaurants and Nightlife. as Menorca is a small island, Cala en Porter is only a 20 Minute transfer from the airport. The Resort is set on a cliff Edge, the Beach is accessed Via Steps and a Bus service runs daily also.
🚙 We Rented a car for 3 Days of our Holiday, Menorca is so Beautiful With Gorgeous Beaches and Resorts to Explore, We visited the the Old Capital Ciutadella and El Toro (Monte Toro, is the tallest hill of the island of Menorca)
Spent the Afternoon on the Beach in Cala Galdana and had Lunch in Fornells
🚌 There is also a great Bus service that Runs from Cala en Porter in to Mahon, the Capital, a Single Journey is around €1.80. we used this one day to Visit the Open air market and the Journey took 20 Minutes.
🇪🇸 Mahon is the capital and largest city of Menorca. We Visited Mahon using the Local bus service to go to the Street Market, the have a selection of Stalls Selling local produce, Bags, Shoes and Gifts.
After we had looked Through the Market we got the Land Train down to the Port for a Boat Trip around the Harbour.
The Boat Trip lasted 1 Hour and took in all the Sights of the Harbour, we passed Golden Farm, where Nelson Stayed when visiting Menorca on HMS Foudroyant, Isla Del Rey, Isla del Lazareto, Fortaleza de la Mola and also have a Glass Bottom a
