What an incredible weekend!
I just returned from the Travel Counsellors' 2024 Conference at Manchester Central, and it was unforgettable. We had 2,200 Travel Counsellors, colleagues, and partners come together for our largest conference ever, celebrating 30 years in business. There were so many great insights, updates, inspirational guest speakers, evening entertainment, and fabulous prizes.
Here are some highlights from the event:
๐ค Inspiring talks from renowned figures in business, including entrepreneur Sara Davies, Bruce Poon Tip - founder of G Adventures, and British perfumer Jo Malone.
๐ A memorable moment when our Global Sales Director, Jim Eastwood, interviewed the incredibly talented Nile Rodgers.
โฅ๏ธ Witnessing the amazing TC community unite to celebrate our philosophy and culture, with attendees travelling from as far as Dubai, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Ireland!
๐ฅ Celebrating the remarkable achievements of our high-performing business owners and colleagues during the Gala Awards night on Saturday.
๐ท Dancing the nights away on Friday and Saturday to fantastic performances from acts like ABBA, Nile Rodgers, Ibiza in Symphony, and the Mad Hen Party Band.
๐ Our regular compรจre, Vernon Kay, ensured great entertainment throughout the event.

The Treasures of Andalucia ๐ช๐ธ
I recently returned from my first Solo's Escorted Tour with Just You - Holidays for solo travellers, and it was fantastic. I had a great time experiencing the Spanish way of life in Andalucia, a captivating destination with a mild Mediterranean climate. I explored the hilltop towns of Mijas and Ronda, visited Picasso's birthplace, Malaga, and relaxed on the sandy beaches of Nerja. The highlight of the itinerary for me was the opportunity to visit Granada, home to the world-famous Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens.
Just You took care of everything in advance, including an airport representative to assist with check-in. I was pleasantly surprised when our holiday director welcomed everyone with a drink and a relaxing introductory dinner, which helped ease my initial nerves.
Our small group was able to visit multiple destinations while staying at the lovely 4-star Mijas Hotel. The quality of the accommodation exceeded my expectations, and its central location made it easy to explore with a knowledgeable tour manager
I was relieved to avoid the dreaded 'Single Supplement' that often comes with solo travel. JustYou guarantees double or twin-bedded rooms and ensures that you have a room to yourself, with no sharing required.
