CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
Greg got in touch with us following a successful weeks fishing at European ‘big fish’ water Lac De Premiere.

Greg booked the lake exclusively for a social with friends in the hope they might catch a few of the monster carp that reside in this notoriously tricky big fish venue.

By all accounts Greg fished particularly well landing multiple 50’s and 60’s throughout the week.

CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
Nick got in touch with us with a requirement for last minute availability for his group of 5 anglers and 1 non fishing guest.

Unfortunately the group had been let down by another travel agent and reading between the lines, they were struggling to find a suitable alternative venue at short notice during what is typically a very popular time of year for fishing in Europe.

Luckily, we did our best to help and the guys were soon on their way to ‘big fish’ water Leon Lake located in Northeastern France.

They were met by the bailiff, shown to their swims and the lake produced a number of PB’s for the group throughout the week including a 64lb 8oz common and a 52lb respectively.

💚🐋 Good angling!

💚CUSTOMER FEEDBACK💚
“The venue is basic but has some amazing fish. They were all in prestige condition. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the lake.

Now we have fished it we would definitely approach it in a different way. One bit of advice would be to fish with 30lb plus line due to the gravel bars and mussels, this resulted in us loosing at least 4 decent carp in mid water. The crays were not a problem and we could fish with boilies however this did result in me catching 2 of the diamond back sturgeon.

Overall, great venue. Not a runs water, but we knew that and the quality of fish were excellent. I would highly recommend this venue. Only down side is no showers or running water at the lake.”

💚CUSTOMER FEEDBACK💚
“We all thought Le Glandon was a beautiful looking lake. Unfortunately for us the fishing was not as good, we think mainly because of weather.

We had a few decent fish. The owner and his family were great hosts, food was very good too.

6 hrs from Calais which flew past all motorway and was a very pleasant drive. Will defo be going back at some stage.

Booking with Carp Social was very easy with great communication.“

Kurt was keen to make the most of these prime Autumnal 🍂 🌅 conditions and planned a return trip to a tricky English syndicate lake, hoping to create an opportunity for a bite.

His timing couldn’t have been better. He ended up landing x3 fish during his initial visit and was keen to capitalise on his efforts and go back for more.

Fast forward to the following weekend and sure enough, Kurt’s second 24hr session resulted in a capture of what is believed to be the biggest common in the lake.

It’s actually the second time running Kurt’s caught the common! 💪😏

💚Good angling Kurt and keep us posted …the big mirror can’t be far away now! 📰👀

Arron’s been on good form at the Bayeswater Syndicate in📍Essex landing one of the lakes most sought after residents 🤤😍 known as the ‘Big Fully’ at 37lb 4oz.

Arron also caught a stocky common at 28lb during his session amid what was arguably biblical 📕 weather conditions 🌊🌪️😳 including strong winds, heavy rain and a new moon phase. 🌑

CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
As many of you will know the weather in France has been nothing short of biblical these last couple of weeks! 🌊🌪️⛈️

We’ve seen storms raging across the country destroying most things in their path. 🌪️😬

Even had a narrow ‘escape’ (see what we did there 🙈) 🤣 with a rather large tree, which practically flattened his cook tent on the banks of Itkus! ⛺️🌳 Luckily, nobody was hurt.

Our group were fairly warm and dry by comparison at Le Glandon 😎 ☀️and whilst they had their share of weather 🌧️, Mick and the lads still managed to bank four 40's, two 30s and about a dozen small carp between the group.

💚Good angling!

CATCH REPORT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Staying close to our Essex roots, here’s TomO again with a lovely looking linear caught from his Syndi.

TomO used a bright pop-up screwed onto a Ronnie rig in combination with a tiny PVA mesh bag of pellet and no other bait around it.

With the water temperatures cooling and the carp unable to metabolise certain baits as we progress further into the autumnal months, bait choice and bait application become equally as important as finding the fish and presenting rigs cleanly amongst the twigs and leaf litter.

…what’s your thoughts on the ‘twigs’ at this time of year? 😉🍂

💚CUSTOMER FEEDBACK 💚
“We booked Lac Charmant on a lake exclusive and after all is said and done, I can’t fault it.

What a week!

The stamp of fish we caught was incredible. Collectively we had 31 fish, 7x 50’s to 56lb, 8x 40’s, the rest were high 30’s and a couple of 20’s.

Looking back we all caught 2x 50’s each, which was a right result considering the rain was relentless this trip.

I’d just like to say the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating and knowledgeable. He was very helpful and made himself available at all hours. He takes a decent picture too!

The booking process with Carp Social was good, seamless actually.

Highly recommended.”

The ‘big girl’ of Chalet De L’ile has made her first autumnal appearance. 🍂 👀👌

We’ve been keeping an eye on her progress since post spawning in June and we’re pleased to report she’s comfortably in the 60lb+ bracket (30kg) and pushing on.

💚 Congratulations to the angler!

CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
Yet again it’s another week full of 50lbers and some ‘backup’ specimens to 49lb 12oz respectively amongst a flurry of fish.

This ‘big fish water’ is arguably one of the best in the Southern region and with carp to 50lb, 60lb and 70lb+, you could catch the fish of your dreams!

💚 Well angled gents!

CATCH REPORTS 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
TomO’s back on the syndicate and enjoying the freedoms of frequently fewer fishermen frequenting the fishery during these cooler autumnal months. 🍂

Here’s what he had to say ⬇️

“After getting to the lake after work on a Friday and seeing fish in a swim I’ve done well in before.

I wasted no time getting rods clipped up to the back of an island and opted to fish pink pop-ups on Ronnie’s with a few catapults of boilies over the top.

After getting the rods sorted I put the bivvy up and made a coffee and before I could finish my drink the first rod was away with this 21lb 8oz common which was followed by a smaller mirror just on dark.”

CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
A record breaking week when John and Pete made the most of a period with no anglers on the water preceeding their visit, followed by a week where the carp were feeding strongly...

John and Pete from Shropshire were the lucky anglers this week, John enjoying his 15th week at the venue, and Pete his 3rd week.

On arrival the fish were feeding hard and bubbling profusely all over the lake, using bags cast to feeding fish, three fish were quickly caught on Saturday afternoon.

Despite conditions that would seem to have been far from perfect with bright sunshine and a flat calm lake, apart from Wednesday which was wet, the fish were on it big time, and using 27.5kg of mackerel boilies with regular baiting patterns John and Pete were able to keep the carp interested all week and net a total of 58 carp between them, which is a record number of fish caught since the very early years of the lake’s history.

There were plenty of the young up and coming carp in the catch, nearly all of which were showing fantastic growth rates of 6-7lbs a year...

As is usually the case at Les Croix nearly all the carp were caught in daylight, this is due to the low angling pressure environment that is maintained at the venue.

We look forward to seeing John again next September, Pete maybe sometime in the future.

CATCH REPORT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Aaron Cheverall headed off for a quick night session at the ‘local pit’ and this scally banger (pic no3) was the result.

Weeks later he returned to the ‘local pit’ and caught two carp (pics 1 & 2) in quick succession.

The first (pic no1) being one of the recently stocked NG Fisheries strain, which were originally introduced at C3 weight of approximately 5lb - 7lb.

Aaron informed us this particular fish was 12lb+ up in weight since it was stocked and it was named ‘Brenda’, after his Nan 👵🏻 🥰.

If you’re lucky enough to catch ‘Brenda’ in the near future then we’d love to her from you. 💚

CATCH REPORT 🇫🇷
It was only last month when we reported Leon Lake’s largest resident making a ‘rare’ appearance and weighing Oz’s over 80lbs.

A big fish by anyones standards! 💎🐳

Well, this ‘rare’ visitor to the bank clearly didn’t read our previous editorial 📰 😂 because not only has she been caught again, but she’s out at a 🏆 NEW LAKE RECORD weight!

💚 Can you guess the weight? 💚

Also, in a totally unrelated question. It’s not a super moon 🌒 by any chance is it? 👀 💫 You know what they say. Big commons, big moons?… 🤷‍♂️😏

Shout out to Benji and Luke who are currently exploring The Carp Complex located in the Northeastern region of France.

Initially they dropped onto Spirit Lake but with the night bites coming thick and fast and a serious lack of Zzz’s 😴 setting in, they soon moved onto Adventure Lake in the hope of catching one of the real gems 💎 that reside in this 50 acre sheet of water.

💚They’re having an awesome time!

💚CUSTOMER FEEDBACK 💚
“We are just back from a cracking week at Luxemont and as promised, here’s a full review for you!

After the Sat Nav finally located Luxemont lake, we received a very warm welcome from Steve and Della, who own a neighbouring lake and were standing in as hosts. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.

There were four of us, looking to achieve some Team Targets, as well as some new PB’s. The lake takes a bit of working out and there are some Crayfish and Poisson Chat to get past, as well as a few Cats but when you work the lake out, you can get past these with relative ease.

After a good start, we had set ourselves an ambitious target of 50 fish, between 4 Anglers. Three of us managed to beat our PB’s, with the largest specimen coming in at 03:30 am on the last day at 45 lb’s 11 oz. closely followed by 3 more high 30’s, early 40’s to achieve our target, with literally minutes to go!

The most productive swim was “Sunset”, which is undoubtedly the coldest swim on the lake but seemed to be the “Hot-Spot”, closely followed by “Red Tree” and “Frogs”. Most of the lake, being an old gravel pit, is fairly hard and whilst there’s the odd w**d bed feature, you can quickly build up a picture after some leading around. The lake’s inhabitants are stunning and whilst the big fish offer great sport, the 20-30 lb fish fight like fish twice their size!!

Luxemont is a fantastic place to spend a week, with its tranquility, local wildlife, and scaly inhabitants, who offer you a great opportunity to beat your PB and experience some first-class French Carping without breaking the bank! It’s the perfect lake for four or five Anglers and depending on swim choices, great for a social trip. I’d thoroughly recommend it.”
