In 2008, after years of searching for a walking group to join that didn’t just go on route marches and had a genuine interest in encouraging people to achieve more while having fun, I had a germ of an idea – I’d set up my own group. From those fledgling years we’ve grown to offer a wide variety of day events, weekend breaks and longer holidays within the most beautiful spots in the UK. However we’

ve remained true to those early beginnings – offering guided walks and other pursuits such as wild swimming, yoga and sea kayaking in a friendly environment where smiles are as much a part of the trip as the stunning views. We organise the essentials such as accommodation, much of the food, route planning and guiding, leaving you to simply enjoy the experience. Our trips are perfect for solo travellers and those looking to explore more in locations such as the Lake District, Scotland, Northumberland and the Peak District.

The Old Man of Hoy, the tallest sea stack in the UK, is a striking and ever-changing landmark on Orkney’s coastline. First climbed by Bonington, Baillie, and Patey in 1966, this natural wonder didn’t exist in 1750 and once had an arch in its base, recorded in 1819. With visible erosion and weathering, its future is uncertain, making it a privilege to witness during our time. A true reminder of nature’s transient beauty.

Our Story

Since 2008 we have been putting the sociability factor into outdoor adventures across the UK.

Whether it’s enjoying the banter while hiking up Snowdon, the friendly chatter following a big day out, or the companionable silence as you sit looking across a stunning loch in the Scottish Highlands, there’s something special about being in a group of like-minded people.

This is why we have created a range of day, weekend and longer holidays where our hosts bring together small groups of people for guided walks ranging from easy ambling along gentle trails in the Lake District right up to challenging hikes such as the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Our trips often include other activities such as yoga and walking breaks in Snowdonia, wild swimming in the Lake District or stargazing and ambling in Northumberland’s Kielder Forest.
