Specialising in Industrial chimney Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance all carried out in line with ATLAS guidelines, regardless of construction material steel, brick or concrete. We recommend annual inspections to keep the chimney at its optimal working condition whilst keeping expensive repair costs down.

The benefit of using Crown Services to DOFF clean your building is that it doesn’t matter the height of the building. The machine’s design alongside our specialist access skills allows it to be used whilst utilising rope access techniques (as long as site has access to water, its good to go).

We utilise DOFF to clean all types of buildings as its powerful enough to remove the toughest of dirt, yet gentle enough to not cause any damage to the property itself, which is why it’s a favorite with historical or listed buildings.

“Whilst using high temperature, the pressure on the surface that is being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low“

The high temperature water vapour will remove all manner of biological materials – moss, fungi, algae etc and is also strong enough to remove paint and any other unwanted material from your building. All this is done without the use of strong harmful chemicals.

For over 3 decades, Crown services most seasoned Steeplejack have been carrying out steel stack inspections, maintenance and repairs.

We follow ATLAS guidelines and always strive to offer the most up to date information on stack inspections.

We recommend that steel stacks are inspected annually to maintain good practice and condition of the stack.

If you require a more in depth inspection we can offer inspection for all 4no cardinal points.

Internal inspections also available which our confined space operatives will carry out.

Suspended Scaffolding

Most of our projects are on live buildings in busy City Centre areas, therefore we install specialist suspended scaffolding to ensure the impact on buildings, the residents, or customers is kept to an absolute minimum!

• Up to 90% reduction on hire costs (less scaffold less cost)
• Up to 60% reduction labour costs (less scaffold to build, the quicker it takes)
• No disruption to footfall traffic for offices/hotels/shops/businesses as there is no scaffold positioned on the pavement.
• More secure from trespassers or potential break ins, as the scaffold is installed at height and therefore it is not easy to access from the ground.
• Less council permits required, saving time, hassle and money.
• No hoarding required, another cost saving measure.
• More aesthetically pleasing from the outside, particularly useful if the building is a hotel or bar trying to attract customers.
• Improved lighting and ventilation for internal building users, conventional scaffold systems restrict natural light and, in most cases, prevent the windows from being opened.
• If the scaffold is to be used for Crown to carry out works, we can design the scaffold so it is only accessible using rope access techniques, which adds an extra level of security.

A confined space is a place where access and egress is restricted, and where serious injury can occur from hazardous substances or conditions within the space or nearby (e.g. lack of oxygen).

Crown Services have Confined Space operatives who are fully trained in rescue procedures and using Breathing Apparatus should an emergency situation arise.

We work within HSE Guidelines, primarily the Safe Work in Confined Spaces and Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.

Whether you’re requirements are to carry out internal chimney inspections, drainage systems, works in tunnels, boilers or more.. we are the company you need!

We access the inaccessible!!

We use traditional steeplejack methods but in a modern way! We use our transferable skills to carry out specialist rigging across ANY building, in city centres, on castles, on tower blocks, on churches… anywhere.

Often, we are tasked to carry out surveys or works on roofs or buildings where other contractors have not been able to access. That is where we come in! Providing unique solutions to ensure that no matter where the works are on a building, we can get there!
We can access domes and spires, roofs with no roof hatches, the tallest structures with no fixings. You name it, we can access it.
