E-cigarette/Vaping ban in the Maldives. The details are below:

November 12, 2024

New regulations on the use of va**ng products were announced by the government of the Maldives to protect public health, and will be applied to both residents and tourists present in the Country, key dates are:

November 15, 2024: The import ban on va**ng devices and accessories will come into force
December 15, 2024: The ban will be extended to possession, use, production, sale, promotion and free distribution of va**ng devices. This regulation applies to both residents and to visitors throughout the national territory.
Important information for tourists: they will not be able to bring va**ng devices to the Maldives. However, if tourists enter the country with a va**ng device they will not be fined or denied entry into the country. The devices will be confiscated at customs and returned upon their departure from the country. To all Travelers to the Maldives are kindly requested to comply with these regulations during their stay in the country. Compliance with this new regulation is extended to everyone and will be applied throughout the world national territory.
