Check out the new Manchester Green Spaces trail which is being launched ahead of summer celebrating the best green, blue and outdoor areas in the city centre. It features 16 garden and water spaces within central Manchester and Salford and takes visitors on a route through the centre stopping by parks, gardens and water spaces along the way. You can download a map of the route at cityco.com or copies will be available to pick up at The Manchester Flower Festival at St Anns Square which is taking place between 24-27 May. This free festival transforms the city centre with themed decorations and green installations alongside live music, entertainment, alfresco food and drink, talks, demonstrations and workshops. There’s loads going on in Manchester over the late May bank holiday weekend including Manchester Flower Festival where they’ll be floral installations, outdoor dining, live music and entertainment. There’s also a floral trail where you’ll find 10 professionally designed displays all themed around “Manchester in Flowers.” This includes a blossoming beehive, a floral computer and a tribute to Manchester’s suffragettes. It’s free and open to all!

There’s also the Deansgate Mews Street Festival where you can expect an outdoor pop-up stage at the Lions Den which will host over 30 live local acts across 3 days alongside food and drink offers from the restaurants and bars situated on Deansgate Mews. There will also be many outdoor market stalls including a pop up gift emporium with local Manchester brands. The festival will run from Friday 26 – Sunday 28 May and is also free to attend.
