Thailand introduces mandatory digital arrival card from May

Visitors to Thailand will have to fill out a digital arrival card prior to arriving in the country, starting next month.

From 1 May 2025, the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) will be mandatory for all non-Thai nationals entering the country.

It must be completed three days before arrival.

The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice with details. The Tourism Authority of Thailand said: “The TDAC is part of the government’s broader digital transformation of immigration procedures and is administered by the Immigration Bureau of Thailand.

"It is designed to streamline border processing, reduce paperwork, and enhance traveller convenience.”

The system will open for submissions on 28 April for those arriving on 1 May.

Visitors will receive a confirmation after submitting the form, which will need to be presented at immigration either digitally or in print.
