Biggest let down since the Wonka fiasco! I have never had to do a bad review before but as so many of you booked tickets to this i felt that I needed to share our experience. We were So Disappointed by World of Illumination at Cheshire Showground 😕 Expected magic and fun and got chaos.Not only was it so overpriced, it was also completely unfinished when we arrived (a day after opening…) I tried so hard to look for positives but all i kept thinking about were the poor families who have this booked as their one and only Christmas event. Im so sorry and i hope you manage to get you’re money back! The decision was made to close down the event which was definitely for the best! Id love to know what you thought? [AD] for those who always ask if my reviews are genuine… an AD does not and will never garentee a good review! If it’s terrible we will always be honest! I was pretty proud of that one 🦆❄️Let me know if you spotted it ⬇️..❄️When it snowed last week the only obvious place to go was the park! 🤣 It was freezing! But we had the whole place to ourselves and it actually turned out to be one of our favourite days in a long time!🛝 There’s a great playground with really good equipment and a REALLY fast slide (although this may be down to the fact it was covered in ice 🤔❄️) ☕️ There’s a cute courtyard right next to the playground with a cafe and some small shops. 🍁 We went exploring and found a tennis court, a pond, forests to explore which led us to our secret discovery….. a whole other playground!!! Ok maybe it’s not a secret as it is on the map but we didn’t know it was there so it was the most exciting discovery and kept us on a high for hours! 🐝 They have some downloads on the website for a cute bee trail. We will definitely do this next time we visit. 3 reasons this is the perfect light trail for little ones✨✨✨..✨ [ad] We popped into the @thechristmastrailmanchester and our two genuinely loved it… here’s why! ✨ Did I mention you get FREE marshmallows? That was such a brilliant surprise and so nice that you don’t have to pay extra! ✨ The little additions make it perfect for kids. We particularly loved the craft area where the kids can write a letter to Santa as well as make other Christmas crafts. The story telling area was beautiful and my two had to be dragged away as they wanted to listen to it on repeat! The little games are a brilliant addition and you can even win a lolly by hooking a duck or knocking off a coconut 🥥 🦆 📸 there’s a cute opportunity to sit in Santas sleigh (Santa isn’t there) which would be a really cute photo. ✨ The trail isn’t a long one… but i honestly loved this as we just made our way through stopping and starting when we liked and going back to the areas the kids enjoyed. It was so chilled and lovely and I’d definitely recommend!
