As i was just confirming everything, the icing on the cake was hearing the US is to drop the requirement for a negative COVID 19 test taken in the 24 hours before travelling to the USA. This change becomes effective 12th June.

Amazing news that from Friday, all remaining Covid travel measures will be removed, including testing for arrivals into the UK and the requirement for completing a passenger locator form.

I am pleased to share that the Government has confirmed the removal of its pre-departure test requirements for passengers travelling into England.

PCR tests and self-isolation on arrival has also been scrapped, with the government reverting to its previous requirement of a lateral flow test to be taken within 48 hours of arrival and, if positive, a PCR test to check for variants.

The changes to international travel rules will come into effect from 4am on Friday, January 7.

Great news for everyone looking forward to a much needed break in 2022.

For many of us, this year’s summer holidays weren’t quite the getaways we’d been dreaming of. Many erred on the side of caution, choosing to explore the UK or managing to get away but perhaps not with quite the same level of anticipation. Some simply preferred to forgo their holiday to wait and see.

As travel regulations continue to simplify, with the adoption of a single red list and the opening of some of our favourite destinations, I'm looking ahead to the colder months for the next escape and picking out which of my favourite winter sun destinations you should be visiting this year and early into next.

Exciting update for my followers who are keen to get back to the Land of Smiles....

Last night the Thai Prime Minister addressed the nation to say that they would accelerate the reopening to allow fully vaccinated passengers from low risk countries to enter anywhere in Thailand quarantine free from 1 November!

UK is currently considered to be low risk, we are still waiting for these changes to be confirmed officially and i will update further when more information is available.
