Work starts on Manchester’s newest (and smallest) public square.
Capital & Centric have started working on the small yet perfectly formed public square that will link their owner occupier community Crusader with new workspaces at Neptune Mill in Piccadilly East.

Images reveal how the social impact developers are taking on the outdoor space outside their restoration of the Grade II listed Neptune Mill – and if their previous projects are anything to go by, this one’s going to be a stunner.

The square, which has been closed off to the public for decades, will give off industrial vibes alongside lush green planting, reminiscent of the developer’s award-winning Kampus garden neighbourhood. The Piccadilly East community will soon be able to enjoy this green oasis, which sits underneath a sky bridge linking Crusader to Neptune Mill – the only one of its kind in the city.

GET READY TO SCREAM
PRINTWORKS IS GIVING AWAY £50 VOUCHERS… BUT ONLY TO THE LOUDEST SCREAMS!
Halloween season has begun at Manchester’s iconic entertainment hub, Printworks and it’s set to be a scream - literally! With scare performers, a haunted selfie station, spooky screen content, and a lineup of eerie events, visitors can expect a frightfully fun time.
On Friday 25th October from 12 to 5pm, guests can dive into a heart-pounding Halloween experience filled with thrills, chills, and the chance to win big.

Prepare to also encounter frightful characters, including a devilish red demon and eerie living dolls, lurking throughout the venue, ready to deliver a scare like no other.
Throughout October, Printworks will transform into a haunted haven, featuring a spooky telephone box that serves as the perfect selfie spot and an immersive Halloween screen takeover on Europe’s largest digital ceiling.
During the day, eerie content will loom overhead, building suspense until 9pm, when “The Curse of Printworks” comes to life in a thrilling crescendo of terror. The brand-new spine-chilling tale, brought to life by talented live actors, will recount ghostly stories from the past, immersing guests in a truly captivating and chilling spectacle.
Kristian Brennan, Marketing Manager at Printworks, said: “This Halloween, we’re turning up the fright factor at Printworks with a month full of spooky activities along with a unique giveaway that invites people to unleash their loudest screams!
“Our new Halloween show, ‘The Curse of Printworks,’ promises a hair-raising experience for our adult guests. So, come if you dare, and let’s make this a Halloween to remember!”.
