We really do!
We employ people who have experienced homelessness as walking tour guides in Manchester.

Would you, your employer or someone you know, enjoy helping a local social enterprise?

😊 Just £60 allows us to run community tours for people who will benefit from exploring our city
😊 £150 would make a huge difference to the training and support we provide for our walking tour guides.
😊 Regular donations of coffee vouchers allow us to add value to customers on our tours and introduce your venue
😊 Your suggestions for how we can work together are invaluable.

Join  for a Feminist Walking Tour of Manchester, as part of their  wider Inclusion Series, on 4th June 2024, led by us!
We'll start the day for breakfast and networking  offices before heading off for the tour. It will be a historical exploration and immersive experience that delves into the stories of Manchester's most influential women, shedding light on their contributions and the city's ongoing dialogue on gender issues and support systems.

We've been out and about!
Today we went to see and the incredible support they offer to the hundreds of people who come through their doors every single day. Some in need of a meal, others support with accomodation, and many in need of a friendly face.
Their art room really inspired us - art creates a level between anyone on the planet and we love that.

Today is a great day to talk about our free community tours, funded by our partners.

Community tours are reserved for groups and individuals who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford our access a tour but would benefit from the local orientation, connecting with like-minded people or simply the chance to get to know people locally.

So as today is International Tourist Guide Day, we're here to say thank you to those who make our community tours possible, and hello to those who would benefit from coming along to one in our cities.

Our Story

Invisible (Manchester) is an extenstion of Invisible (Cities) set up in Edinburgh in 2015. It is a social enterprise that works with people who have been affected by homelessness and trains them to become walking tour guides. It also promotes alternative social minded tours of the city.

We don’t believe in labels or stereotypes and want to show that everyone has great potential. We focus on good quality training so that every guide is given the opportunity to walk you through THEIR Manchester.
