This is the original European Sportive and it's still one of the toughest days on a bike. Glandon is just the apéritif, before you take on the Telegraph and the mighty Galibier, from it's proper side. A long, almost 50km descent, leads you to the foot of Alpe d'Huez. It's like a grand tour stage experience of hitting the final climb with almost 100 miles already in your legs. Enjoy!

There are two options:

Option One: Go for Entry only which will also grant you access to our two private feedstops on race day. Access to our feedstops has been a "life-saver" to many past participants, especially on a hot day. Plus, it's always nice having someone else fill your bottles when you are two thirds* into one of the biggest rides of your life! 😊

Option Two: Add an entry to one of our hotel packages. Here you will enjoy our full service and support all weekend. This includes rep support, mechanical support and transfers, once you arrive in resort, to ensure you are exactly where you need to be before and after the event.

Tuesday also saw the announcement of the Etape du Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift route. This brand new event is going to be stage 8 of the women's tour which will finish on the Col de la Madeleine. With a summit finish that rivals any previous Etape du Tour, which Etape will you choose?

Plus with the option to await the pro female peloton's arrival after you've taken on the Hors Categorie climb yourself, this is definitely an extra motivation to choose this inaugural event.

We are hoping to offer our usual supported tour packages for this event and we'll bring further details as soon as we have them.

Etape du Tour 2025 route has been revealed. Ride a stage of the Tour de France! In 2025, it will be Stage 19, between Albertville and La Plagne. It’s 130km with roughy 4400m of climbing, which includes Col de Saisies, Col du Pre (one of our our all time favourites), Cormet de Roselend and La Plagne. A La Plagne finish has not featured in the Tour de France since 2002 and has been the previous battleground for some epic racing.

Always a hot topic at Sportive Breaks at this time of year as we start getting a better idea of where the route might be.
