3 things I’m so thankful I focused on during my prenatal workouts ✨✨
Just taking my time settling in to movement again ✨ recovery is key 🔐
I realised I had been pretty MIA on this page…. We’ve been pretty busy ❤️
We welcomed Drew (baby witton #2) last Wednesday 💙 he’s absolutely perfect.
I managed my longed for #VBAC and had THE MOST incredible birth experience.
I’m excited to introduce Drew to BABYfit with his big bro in a few weeks! ❤️🖤 for now though, I’m soaking up ALL these newborn snuggles 🥰
I hope I can inspire someone to start, or continue to move throughout this special season ✨🫶🏼 confidence is a HUGE part of training throughout pregnancy, and my aim has been to give ALL women the confidence to continue what FEELS GOOD ✨
This one goes out to everyone, but especially parents! 🫶🏼✨ there’s NOTHING selfish about taking 45 minutes to yourself to attend a gym class to burn off some steam, choosing better quality foods for the house to make you feel better or prioritising a good quality night sleep to make you a nicer person in the morning. YOU are important ❤️
I’ll be the first to tell you there’s not much you CANT do whilst pregnant 🤰🏼🦸🏼♀️ But as your body starts changing in the third trimester (and bump starts getting in the way!) these are some fab modifications for popular exercises you might have been used to doing pre pregnancy 👏🏼✨
Let me also tell you, trying to keep a 2 year old out of shot whilst he completed THE WHOLE workout with us wasnt easy 😅🏆
5 weeks to go now… so close to baby witton #2 ‘s arrival 👶🏻💙
THIS 🙌🏼✨ let your kids watch you take care of yourself!
Our bodies deserve MORE ✨
YEARS of metabolism abuse like missing meals, fad dieting and poor relationships with exercise have lead to metabolic and hormonal imbalances ⚖️
We brush things off as NORMAL because they are COMMON… but you shouldn’t have to live with the symptoms! You CAN feel good just by taking steps to nourish your body appropriately, exercising effectively and finding a balance that works for YOU 🫶🏼✨
A healthy and strong metabolism should look like:
Waking up hungry and ready to eat!
Constant energy throughout the day!
Progress with your training!
Restful sleep!
Warm hands and feet!
Regular bowel movements and regular periods!
❤️🖤
STOP PUSHING YOUR BODIES TO EXTREMITIES ⛔️
It’s unnecessary…. It’s also unmaintainable and MISERABLE.
YOU CAN BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY… I promise ❤️🖤
Mamas, please don’t be scared to continue (or start!) moving throughout pregnancy. People love a “should you still be doing that?!” BUT YES I SHOULD BECAUSE I CAN. My motto for this pregnancy has been ‘I’m pregnant not poorly’. Absolutely take it easy if that works for you… but equally if you’re having a normal low risk pregnancy have trust in your body and move in ways that feel good!
Protecting our core is AS (if not more!) important than working it throughout pregnancy 🤰🏼✨
STRENGTH TRAINING ❤️🖤 we love it here at RS Fitness Studios but it's soooo important for your health too! Here's why ✨
I work with my prenatal ladies every Thursday and Saturday at @rsfitnessstudios ❤️🖤 these are my top tips whilst conducting a prenatal fitness session 🤰🏼
Guys! Stop getting sucked into these fads... they'll work for a short amount of time because you're in a CALORIE DEFICIT, as soon as that stops you'll bounce back to your starting weight quick! We are looking for SUSTAINABLE CHANGES and these are my top three focuses whilst on a weight loss journey ✨✨
Don't leave working your pelvic floor until after the birth, mamas! It's important to fire up those muscles during pregnancy too 🔥💕
My none negotiable's to stay active whilst pregnant 🤰🏼
My current schedule includes cardio, strength and mobility workouts 💪🏼
Please remember this is my JOB, not many people have as much time in the day to workout as I do (I use my classes as training!). But even one gentle session per week can help you stay active through this season 🤰🏼❤️
For those that missed it! SURPRISE 🤰🏼 another baby Witton coming in the summer ❤️
NOW, BOTH styles of training are EQUALLY important in my book 📕 the first video was taken from my postnatal course focusing on core control and breathing... I absolutely take this into my prenatal training too... but there's so much RUBBISH advise out there that's scaring women into sedentary pregnancies...
DONT START ANYTHING NEW 🤰🏼
DONT PUSH YOUR LIMITATIONS 🤰🏼
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY... MUM KNOWS BEST ALWAYS! 🤰🏼
But enjoy an active pregnancy mamas ❤️✨
This! All day long! We owe this to our kiddies ❤️ We are currently setting the president and we all want our kids to live healthy lifestyles ❤️ monkey see monkey do! Show them the importance of taking care of YOU so they can learn to take care of THEM 🙏🏼✨
