Just a little reminder of why I feel so lucky to live where I do. Dropping off an order for St Michael's Mount tonight and this is the view. Beautiful light.

In 1812, the cannons on the Mount were fired in defence for the last time. Since then, they have been used for many ceremonial purposes.

The final target was a French frigate, which was dismasted and ran aground on Marazion Beach. These cannons were captured and are now displayed at the exit of the castle. It is a popular place for many visitors to use as a lookout point over to the mainland.
