Joyous Noel to you all from the Make Lounge. For all our customers in 2022 a very special thank you. I am looking forward to teaching you all to sew, let 2023 be the year of making, re-using, repairing and recycling with love and skill.

If you have been gifted a sewing machine and would like to know what it can do, and how to make yourselves and family things from joy the I have a 1 to 1 course tailored just for you , from a half day get to know your machine, to as many days as you need to make your sewing ambitions become a reality. Well that was a fabulous Margate Soul Festival 2022 such superb music and great crowds of lovely wonderfully, colourfully dressed visitors. Followed by Margate Carnival , such joy to see it back. Now back to the sewing and designing the whole of August on the bench are one of a kind outfits from pattern to toile to making for some super new and returning clients. 1 to 1 sewing lessons resume, on Saturdays ( bookings being taken now) and preparation fir a well deserved long awaited holiday in September for me. I'm glad to be back, caught up, and the sun is still shining too!!!

This is some spare 70s print fabric from a old item that was taken apart to make a new item. There is enough for a skirt an maybe more , it already has pockets in the side seams . If you are interested in using this to try out your sewing skills as a wearable toile, then get in touch. East Kent has high levels of mental health.Many examples can be seen of the symptoms of severe mental health and so many more situations.
Be cool for the narrative of the media to show respect for the whom are seen day to day getting stuck in with picking up the pieces.
Yet receiving little thanks , let’s for once recognise who deals with the disastrous symptoms of mental health when things really go wonky for many during a lifetime.
