Deeping Summer Ball - Final Update and Thank You 🎪

Dear all,

We would like to confirm that all guest refunds have now been processed in full and all suppliers have been informed.

We’re deeply grateful to those who supported the event throughout its planning stages, whether through time, resources, or generosity. A heartfelt thank you goes to:

All sponsorship donations have now been returned in full.

We are incredibly appreciative that many of our suppliers allowed us to proceed without upfront costs, and that no deposits were required. Despite our best efforts, the event could not go ahead due to low ticket sales. All money from ticket sales and sponsorships have been refunded, though a number of essential expenses for materials, promotion and logistics have already been paid for during planning. As a result, no profit was made, and a small shortfall remains.

We’d also like to thank Harry for handling all the marketing, website, design work and IT behind the scenes, including posters, banners, tickets and online promotion.

It’s a shame that this year’s Summer Ball will not be going ahead. Sadly, without sufficient ticket sales, it simply wasn’t viable to proceed.

📣 Important Update: Deeping Summer Charity Ball - Event Cancelled

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the Deeping Summer Charity Ball, planned in aid of Dementia Support South Lincs, will not be going ahead this year.

This event was created not just as a night of celebration, but to raise vital funds for a cause that touches many local families. Sadly, despite reducing ticket prices from £85 to £75 and introducing a £55 ticket without food, investing heavily in advertising, and reaching out to over 100 local businesses for sponsorship, we didn’t receive enough support to make the event financially possible.

We’ve already covered significant upfront costs, and with major expenses still ahead such as the marquee, catering, entertainment, power supply, and facilities, continuing would have placed us in a difficult financial position.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who bought tickets, shared our posts, or supported us throughout. All ticket holders have been or are currently being refunded in full. We’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to the local businesses who offered sponsorship or assistance, and to the suppliers who worked with us to help bring the event to life.

We’d especially like to thank The Square Pub for their support from the very beginning, including help with bar planning and ideas. Your backing means a great deal and hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Although the Deeping Summer Ball isn’t going ahead this time, we remain committed to supporting Dementia Support South Lincs through other community events in the future.

📣 Public Notice - Charity Summer Ball Banners

Today we’ve been out again putting up 8 more banners around Market Deeping to promote our upcoming Charity Summer Ball in aid of Dementia Support South Lincs.

Sadly, several of our banners have been stolen or removed in recent weeks. These banners belong to the charity, and they are expensive to replace. This event is raising vital funds for local people affected by dementia, so it’s disheartening to see this happening.

🙏 If you feel a banner has been placed in the wrong location, please call us – we’re more than happy to remove or relocate it. We only place banners where we believe it's appropriate or where we’ve been given landowner permission.

📍 If you know of any good locations to place banners or spot any that have been taken down or discarded, we’d love to hear from you.
