πEvents are planned for people to come together across the district to remember D-Day on 6 June.
ποΈJune 6, 9am - The council will lead the tributes with a flag-raising ceremony at The Symington Building, including a declaration and prayer led by Revd Phil Bryson.
ποΈ June 6, 11am - Broughton Astley service at the War Memorial with a poem read by Thomas Estley Community College students.
ποΈ June 6, 7pm - A commemorative church service at St Dionysius Church with council representatives, veterans and local cadet organisations.
ποΈ June 6, 9:15pm - Beacon lighting at Coventry Road Recreation Ground by Lutterworth Town Council. Enjoy food, drinks, and music from Lutterworth Town Band from 8-10pm. πΆπ
ποΈ June 6, 9:15pm - Lubenham Parish Council will light a beacon at Lubenham Village Green, preceded by a D-Day photographic display and commemorative reading.
ποΈ June 8-9 - 1940s Weekend at Harborough Indoor Market with music, stalls, fancy dress, and memorabilia.
