Soaking up the sunshine in Lincoln ☀️

Castle Square nestles between Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. The area also acts as a five-way junction between Steep Hill, Bailgate, Exchequergate, Lincoln Castle, and Drury Lane.

This weekend the Square was home to Lincoln Makers Market and Lincoln Antiques and Collectables Market.

Brayford Pool was surrounded by Roman settlements, mills, breweries and engine sheds in its history, that dates back to the first century BC ⚜

What was once the 4th busiest waterfront in the country in the mid 13th century, was almost drained, filled and turned into a car park in the 1960s.

When the Brayford Trust was established in 1969 they restored the pool to the marina you know today ⛵
