We have converted our farm stables into six luxury, self-catering hideaways. Together, the stables and courtyard create a perfect setting for weekends away, family holidays and group events. The farm's location is perfect for those looking to explore the World Heritage Site of Avebury which boasts stunning scenery and an ancient stone circle. There are plenty of walking trails to suit all abilitie

s on our doorstep as well as a selection fantastic local pubs for refuelling afterwards. We offer self-catering with a twist: we can deliver produce from our working farm direct to your stable door, including bacon and sausages for your morning breakfast or succulent steak from our herd of grass-fed, Wiltshire cows. As well as accommodation, we can also cater for a number of events - offering a beautifully unique space for everything from shoot lunches and exercise classes to corporate away days and workshops. Right now, the fields are frosty, the leaves are gone, and the sheep are rocking their winter coats like runway models. Meanwhile, we’re bouncing in the Play Barn, longing for hearty food (but actually on mega detox!), and finding excuses to avoid the outside world. BUT the days are getting longer…

🌸 Spring is ahead with bottle feeding lambs, green fields and fresh blooms popping up the courtyard.
🌾 Summer: Long golden days, combine harvesters in action, and sunsets that demand a glass of something chilled.
🍁 Autumn: Crunchy leaves underfoot, golden fields, and perfect countryside walks (and Marlborough Mop!)
🌲Back to the mince pies, frosty fields, steaming mugs of tea, and sheep looking very pleased with their woolly jumpers.

L o n g s t o n e s I One Bed Stable

Just a short stroll from the farm you will find two standing stones stones, the Longstones; known locally as ‘Adam’ and ‘Eve’. They are thought to have been formed part of the Beckhampton Avenue that connected with Avebury. William Stukeley recorded the site in the 18th century when it was only partially destroyed, and suggested it extended further, although modern excavation and archaeological geophysics have not confirmed this.
Adam is the larger of the two stones, weighing an estimated 62 tons, and along with three others formed a four-sided cove. Excavations carried out in 2000 revealed the socket holes for the other stones which were tightly placed close to Adam. The other stones were removed in the post-medieval period by a local landowner.
Adam fell over in 1911 and was re-erected by Maud Cunnington in 1912. She also found a Beaker inhumation of a middle-aged man buried close by the stone. In 1933 the stones were scheduled as an ancient monument.

What’s on the menu?

We are hosting a shoot today, and always try to use as much farm produce as possible. Today we served sausage baps for breakfast, then mid morning snack of fennel saucisson with partridge and pork sausage rolls.
Then lunch is a light bit of quiche, beetroot, a selection of salads and the ultimate double chocolate brownie with strawberries and ice cream.

I thought it might be time to reintroduce ourselves so there are faces behind the posts and emails.

There’s me, I’m behind this account telling our farm story. I split between mum life, marketing, managing the stables and keeping on top of the courtyard garden.

Then there’s Rob, most likely to be tractor driving, shed sweeping, crop walking or crunching numbers in the farm office.

Tyla is the fresh face and newest addition to the team. She’ll be on hand to help with your bookings, giving you top tips for your stay and keeping you plied with our delicious bacon! You might also find her driving the JCB as she helps the farm team too!

We have a fantastic team working with us keeping the stables looking ship shape and cooking up delicious meals for our events.

Stuck in the mud! Most of the farm has dried out but even in the dry of last week there are some stubbornly soggy patches!

Most of the crops are planted but there is still plenty to see on a farm holiday. Whether watching lorries loading, feeding the animals, checking the pigs there always something going on in Spring.

Hello and thank you to all our new followers over the last few weeks. There is so much life outside on the farm at this time of year, I always forget to share what the stables accommodation looks like inside!!

So here’s a peak inside Silbury Hill. The wonderful brought the outside in with her colours and I think this feels like Spring!

Around feeding lambs and kids, we’ve enjoyed a long barrow picnic and a slow afternoon. Our Silbury guests have hired a hot tub from and I’ve been looking on enviously as they sit in the sun drinking bubbles!

It’s buy a farmer a coffee day!! With just a few days of sunshine before the next rain, lots of farmers were drilling (planting) fields until the early hours last night (and they’ll be going again tonight!). Rob got in at 6am and in those 8 hours of trundling he even managed to get me a little content!! Show him some love 🚜🚜 👇🏻
