Just reminder to all our little Messy Monets that our pre-schooler classes in Windsor (Thursday at The Lawns Childrens Centre & Friday at The Firestation) will not be running this term. Our after school clubs are starting next week (wk beg, 12th). Looking forward to it!

Sophie & Ewan celebrated their 7th birthdays this weekend with a safari themed party. We painted and decorated wooden pencil boxes, ready for use in September, made bag dangelers with copper safari charms and, always a big favourite, animal sand art! Everyone had a great time and the party was a "roaring" success!!

Wonderful event today for Berkshire Vision - a local charity for visually impaired children. We had a great group of very talented and totally awesome kids who produced these great potteries, sand art and decorated their bags to take their goodies home in. Well done to everyone who came! Noah told me it was "the best day ever!"

Just a reminder that we are now off for the summer holidays & also to let those of you who haven't heard that from Spetember we are no longer running our pre-schooler classes on Thursday and Friday mornings in Windsor. Big thanks to everyone who came to our classes over the past 3 and a half years - especially our lovely regulars - your little ones have been wonderful! We are still doing our after school clubs and our parties though so keep in touch on Facebook for more information! In the meantime enjoy those summer holidays!

Our last week before the summer holidays and we are looking at shapes. We'll be printing with shapes creating colourful pictures and then making a shape mobile to hang in the window and let the sun shine through. Plus all our little Messy Monets will be leaving with a special yummy treat - well, it is the hollidays after all! Siblings who have already broken up are more than welcome to join us.

Around The World in 80 Days - Australia. We took at look at the dot art the indigenous people of Australia used to decorate their hunting tool, the Bommerang. Here's a few our group beautifully recreated.

At Mondays we took a break from countries for this terms theme of Around the world in 80 Days and instead took a look at the worlds oceans. Our talented artsists created these stunning and colourful fish. Well done everyne - they are beautiful!

We celebrated a Mermaid themed birthday with lovely Imogen yesterday who turns 7 in a few days time. Imogen and all her school friends very carefuly painted mermaid pottery, made sea shell bracelets with a mermaid charm and then made their own mermaid peg doll. They were a wonderful group of party girls and we all had great fun. Happy Birthday Imogen!

With the summer here (yes, it is officially!!) another summer theme from the seaside. Well be painting fish and giving them a textured scaley skin with bubble wrap, then making cute little turtles. Come along, get out of the rain and have some artistic fun with your little one.....

Special sessions this week - its Fathers Day on Sunday so we will be making special gifts for special Daddies or Grandpas. We'll be making a gorgeous keepsake key ring with a little finger print on clay and then, still using our hands, we will be painting a wonderful colourful picture just for him. Come and get busy with us....

A super cute bunny themed party for an even more super cute 4 year old yesterday - Cecily! We painted bunny money boxes, made these 3D wooden bunnies with massive googly eyes and made bracelets with these lovely charms. Plus some great bunny hopping games and party bags heavily decorated with bunny stickers! All making Cecily have a "Hoppy" birthday!

Just making new playdough and remembered a few people have asked me for the recipie. So here it is - the best playdough in the world that lasts, and lasts, and lasts!
2 cups flour
2 cups warm water
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons veg oil
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
Heat in saucepan - when dough like, take off heat, cool and store in airtight container. I add food colouring when Im heating the dough up too. Enjoy!

Everybody loves a teddy! So we are painting our own today and making a teddy mask. And I'll be bringing lots of my teddy friends with me for a cuddle and a story. Come along with your teddy too!

Gorgeous Claudia celebrated her 5th birthday last weekend with a Unicorn themed Messy Monets party. Claudia and 16 of her friends painted unicorn money boxes, made bracelets with unicorn and rainbow charms and created pretty unicorn wands - all wrapped up in their party bags, designed by themselves. Claudia was super smiley and she and all her lovely pals were very creative, producing some really excellent pieces. Hope you had a wonderful party Claudia and happy birthday! xx

Our after school club at White Waltham are producing these fantastically colourful pieces based on the Mexican Tree of Life. Last week we painted the actual tree and on Monday we'll be finishing them off by decorating the trees. The school is currently studying Around the World in 80 Days so each week we are looking at art from other countries. Beautiful work everyone!

With the sunshine and rain we've been having the last couple of days, our theme this week at Messy Monets is Rainbows. We'll be painting with puffy paint colourful rainbows then making these cute cloud mobiles to hang up at home. We'll also be learining the colours of the rainbow and where we can find these colours in the 'What makes a Rainbow' book. Join us
