Dear friends, followers and loyal customers,
We are a small, independent business who are proud to bring Marske by the Sea and beyond the very best in vintage, retro and antiques, however you may have noticed recently that we’re not having an easy time.
Due to a mixture of higher costs, business rates and having to compete with the online retail market, as with many small shops we are really struggling to keep our doors open. We have been in the business long enough to know what happens in other high streets when a shop becomes unviable and has to close. People come in and tell the staff how much they will miss it, wish they’d known the range of stock the shop sold, or would have used it more had they known about it. We don’t want to get to that point - we want to succeed and we are working incredibly hard behind the scenes trying to think of new and inventive ways to attract customers and boost sales.
We know we’re not perfect, but we work very hard and we don’t ever want to let a customer down. Our aim is to be a unique, friendly and busy local retailer.
So at this time, we ask that you think of us and pop into Vintage by the Sea when you are out and about in Marske.
We have also considered other ways you may be able to help us and spread the word of our store further by:
