🚀 Exciting Progress at Royal Plains Fountain, Lowestoft! 🚀

The Seafront Vision project is moving forward with some key milestones reached:

✅ SPEL’s custom-designed tank has been expertly installed by Blakedown Landscapes.
✅ The tank was 3D modelled in Revit to ensure perfect alignment with ongoing services.
✅ The plinth for Ocmis' jet channels is now in place, with the channels set for delivery & installation next week!
✅ Kent Stainless-manufactured components will integrate seamlessly with Oase jet nozzles & LEDs.

🌿 Ocmis Begins Work on Armada Way Regeneration in Plymouth! 🌊

We’re excited to share that Ocmis has now started work on the Armada Way regeneration project in Plymouth! 🚀 This transformative project, led by Plymouth City Council, will enhance the city centre with improved walkways, lush greenery, and stunning water features.

💧 Ocmis joined the project in late 2022, with design led by our own Dan Haines through RIBA Stages 2-5, culminating in our appointment in December 2024 to deliver the system. Now on-site, we have major works ahead throughout 2025!

🔹 Our role includes:
✅ Irrigation system to support new tree planting 🌳
✅ Restoration & upgrade of the Phoenix Fountain with a new dynamic effect 🔥💦
✅ A brand-new dancing jet feature ✨
✅ A wide cascading rill through the city centre 🌊

This week, Ocmis were in Harrogate for the BTME event! It was a fantastic couple of days connecting with our valued suppliers and clients-both new and familiar. It was a great way to kick off what promises to be an exciting year ahead for Ocmis!

Ocmis are currently on-site at Frilford Heath Golf Club, undertaking the installation of the new irrigation system on the Red Course. Following on from the completion of the irrigation upgrade to the Blue Course in early 2022, the Ocmis team are working tirelessly installing new irrigation to the Greens, Surrounds, Approaches, Fairways and Tees on the Red Course as part of the next phase of works.

Big news from Wembley Park NE03! This week, Ocmis commissioned the pond recirculation and aeration systems, handing over this innovative project set against the stunning backdrop of Wembley Stadium.

The pond features:
• Tiered reed beds for natural water treatment.
• Advanced pumping systems and pipework.
• Automated level control and underliner drainage to protect the liner.
• An advanced subsurface diffused air aeration system.

We’re excited to announce that a case study will be coming to our website soon, and more photos will follow in the Spring once the aquatic planting is in full bloom. Stay tuned!

Last week, Dan Haines and Ben Nix from the Ocmis team travelled to Dryden Aqua near Edinburgh for an insightful factory tour.

We were impressed by the precision and dedication in the manufacturing process of AFM® media, along with the rigorous quality control that ensures its excellence. This visit reaffirmed why Ocmis has trusted AFM® as our go-to filtration solution for years.

The tour also gave us a sneak peek into some exciting new products that we’re looking forward to offering our customers in the future.

We are thrilled to announce our involvement in the Lowestoft Seafront Vision project as the appointed water feature specialist for the Royal Plain area! 💧✨

Ocmis Ltd previously worked with Hemingway Design and Untitled Practice at RIBA Stages 3 & 4 to develop the design, and we are now partnering with Blakedown Landscapes to bring this vision to life.

The new fountain will replace an existing feature, showcasing the latest technology and improved water treatment. It will feature multiple vertical jets, each illuminated with RGB LED lighting for spectacular visual effects. The fountain technology is supplied by Oase, a leader in innovative water feature systems.

This project is part of the £24.9 million Towns Fund regeneration initiative by East Suffolk Council, with completion anticipated during 2025. We can't wait to see the transformation of Royal Plain into a stunning seafront attraction! 🌊🌆

Last week, some of our design team visited the Grundfos offices in Leighton Buzzard for their Groundwater and Irrigation Day. During the event, we had the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in pump technology, gaining valuable insights and solutions available to help our clients. This week saw more plant and machinery loaded onto our HGV by our staff at our offices in Somerset. The machinery will be delivered to one of our winter projects ready for installation to begin in the coming weeks.

This past week, our stores department have been hard at work ensuring material is loaded ready for delivery to one of our winter projects at Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

In the last month, Ocmis have completed and handed over the irrigation systems at Lahinch Golf Club and Gleneagles Golf Club. We would like to thank both Lahinch and Gleneagles for their co-operation throughout the successful projects. We now move onto our summer installations which have begun over the last few weeks at Dainton Park Golf Club and Market Harborough Golf Club with works already progressing well.

In the last week, Ocmis have completed the installation of a new pumping station at Trump International Golf Links Aberdeen. Manufactured at our workshop in Somerset, the pump set features stainless steel manifolds and six Grundfos pumps capable of delivering 256m3/hr at 9.6 bar pressure.
