While staying at one of our cottages you can enjoy the sights and sounds of our tranquil river walk. Follow the river Girvan down stream and be on the look out for heron, otter, ducks and salmon. Why not take a book and sit on any of our river side benches.

The Groom’s House Cottage is the largest of our eight self catering cottages, ideal for larger families or small groups. Take two steps up to enter the spacious open plan living area which features a warming log fire, kitchen and dining area. The ground floor also benefits from underfloor heating, cloak room and WC. Head up the wooden stairs to discover two king-size bedrooms with plenty of storage space and velux windows. Up a further five steps is a third super king-size room, which can also be arranged as two single beds, on request. All of the bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms and ample storage space. A fabulous family holiday home in peaceful surroundings.

Stables Cottage is a delightfully bright and spacious cottage, one of four set around a shared courtyard area with Coach House Cottage to the left. Take two steps up and enter into a well-equipped open plan kitchen, family dining area and comfortable sitting area with open log fire, underfloor heating and WC cloakroom. An open tread wooden staircase takes you up to two spacious super king size bedrooms, which can alternatively be made up as twin beds on request. Each bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room ensuring privacy and luxury for all guests, perfect for a fabulous holiday retreat.

Gardener’s Cottage is a traditional Tudor style detached cottage. It is a situated alongside the courtyard cottages and benefits from lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Accessed by two external steps Gardener’s opens to a welcoming reception area, kitchen and family dining area. There is a separate sitting room with lovely open log fire and generous seating.
Upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms and a family shower room. Both bedrooms feature super king size beds, which can be made into twin beds on request. Perfect for a party of four.

Coach House Cottage enters into the spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area with large windows looking out to the shared courtyard. The ground floor also benefits from cosy log burning fireplace, underfloor heating and WC.
Two en-suite bedrooms can be found on the first floor. One king size and one twin or super king bed. The perfect home away from home 🏡

Tack-Room Cottage is one of four cottages set within the original stable block for the castle, sharing a central courtyard. Tack-Room features a large living area with French doors flooding the space with natural light from the shared courtyard and an open fireplace for cosy autumnal nights. Upstairs there are two bedrooms sleeping four guests the driest with a king size double bed and the second twin single beds both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. The perfect home from home for a family holiday this winter.

Ayrshire loft cottage, truly unique and loved by all who come to stay. A studio style cottage with open plan living area and a spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine sleeping area. The cottage further benefits from underfloor heating, super king size bed, wet room and atmospheric original features. Built as the estate garage in the arts and crafts style from grey granite with distinctive semi-circular hooded dormer windows and characteristic wooden beams.

Cloncaird Castle and Cottages

Cloncaird Castle is in beautiful Ayrshire countryside near to the villages of Kirkmichael and Straiton, and just ten miles from Ayr. Parts of the castle date back to the 16th century and it is steeped in fascinating history. The cottages date back over 100 years and are built of either granite or sandstone and four of them are gathered around a central courtyard.

Castle’s award-winning Atrium Venue is open to host private and corporate events and weddings in 2020 along with eight lovely Holiday Cottages.

These self-catering properties are all newly refurbished and modernised, and available to rent all year round. Cloncaird Castle Cottages are set within a 140 acre estate, with extensive gardens, woodland and romantic riverside walks.

All the holiday cottages are individually styled. Sleeping from 2-6 people, each beautiful cottage seamlessly combines boutique and stylish interior design with comfort and space. The holiday cottages feature flat screen TV, DVD player, double glazing, underfloor heating and fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Some also have open log fires.
