Acorn Glade Glamping is located between York & Beverley and is located on the fringes of the beautiful Vale of York and the Yorkshire Wolds. It is set within a beautiful lake-side setting offering yurts, log cabin, gypsy wagon and fishing. Our award-winning Yorkshire glamping site is a grown-ups only romantic retreat and is only 10 miles east from the city of York. The self-catering accommodation includes a gypsy wagon, log cabin and two yurts with a private fishery. At our compact glamping site, there are no pets (no dogs) or children under 18 and it's even a wi-fi free zone. So bring a good book, a pack of cards or a board game, an open mind and a sense of adventure. Acorn Glade is a designated Local Wildlife Site (LWS) and is set in three acres of wild flower meadow and woodland with a private still-water fishing lake, which can be used exclusively by guests. The accommodation is ideal for couples (or singletons) and offers a haven of back-to-basics bliss away from the stresses of modern day life. The emphasis is on comfortable off-grid eco living, a sort of camping in style ('glamorous’ or ‘glorified camping'). It is like your own personal hotel room, but with an outdoorsy feel and a fabulous view. For your comfort, both yurts have a real double and a king size bed for the log cabin with duvet, pillows and all bedding provided (including a wood burning stove). The 100 year old Gypsy Wagon has an authentic coal burning stove and a quirky 4ft double bed (with a bit of a climb). For this unique accommodation you have the option of bringing your own bed linen or hiring them from us. Our communal kitchen (called "The Chicken Shed") is fully equipped with gas hob, microwave and fridge together with all the pans, crockery and cutlery that you’ll need. Guests are encouraged to relax, enjoy the peace and tranquillity; to explore their natural surroundings, before slipping into comfy beds in either the charming yurts, cosy Gypsy wagon or well-equipped snug log cabin. Just imagine, sitting outside your yurt, Gypsy wagon or log cabin with a glass of wine in the evening sunshine, watching and listening to the wildlife, then later perhaps a bit of star-gazing gathered around the fire-pit.
