As the summer holidays are coming to the end we are back doing short breaks.

September is just a few days away and there is so much to be doing in Norfolk this month.

Summertime views at Wood Farm 😍

Our favourite time of year.

Our cottages are full of families and friends enjoying our wonderful site.

The sound of children playing.

The golden fields surrounding us are ready to be harvested and if you're lucky you'll get to watch the combine at work.

The morning birdsong is the most wonderful sound. Being in the middle of the Norfolk Countryside it's so much louder.

A summer break at Wood Farm is probably the best decision you could make 😊😊😊

The location of the field this year is on Westgate (road) in Gt Walsingham, this is the other side of the cross roads from last years location.

Have we gone abroad???

Absolutely not!!
Sheringham beach today was stunning. Calm, clear water and beautifully blue.

Norfolk really is the best place to holiday!!!!

Why not see Norfolk by bike?

Yesterday we hired some bikes from and set off on a ride around the back roads of North Norfolk.

The weather was perfect, the roads were quiet and as it's Norfolk, the hills were manageable!

We stopped off at for some lunch to take with us. Found a field's edge and enjoyed our picnic with nature.

After a few more miles we had to do the very British thing and stop at a pub was on our route and we enjoyed a cider in the glorious sunshine.

The best family day out we've had in a long time!!!

Visiting Wells Beach in the evening is an absolute must.

The day times get very busy but in my opinion the evening or very early in the morning are the best times to visit.
No crowds, just you and the sounds of the sea. Plus beautiful sunrise and sunsets

A great little museum. A "must do" when visiting Norfolk

The wildflowers across North Norfolk so far this year have put on an incredible display!!!

But oddly I haven't seen quite so many bees 🤔

Is It down to the poor weather?

Our courtyard at Wood Farm is in full lavender bloom but again, very few bees

We planted sweet peas a few months ago....
Now they're in flower 😁

This makes me happy and they smell beautiful

For the last 3 years we have had swallows nesting in the biomass barn

It has been impossible to get any pictures of them... Until now!!!
This morning these two little fledglings were sitting on the wire by the map room, watching the world go by 😊 (well me arriving for work)

The rose campion are in full bloom in the courtyard.
How stunning are these?? The most beautiful, bright pink.

She's back.... Wandering the two field walk with her babies.

She's incredibly calm with me being around and is happy to let me sit and watch her with her two young fawns.
I guess they're around 6 weeks now....

We are so lucky to have the wildlife around Wood Farm. This year especially has been amazing for roe deer here

The Princess of Wales has marked her husband’s 42nd birthday by posting a photograph of him and his three children jumping off a sand dune in Norfolk.
