🚧 SeAH Monopile Factory Progress Update 🏗️

I’m thrilled to share some amazing progress at the SeAH Monopile Factory at Teesworks! This massive project is driving our region forward, and the numbers speak for themselves.

We’ve just smashed through an incredible 2 million man-hours on site – 2,057,832 to be precise! To put that into perspective, if one person did a 9.5-hour shift, it would add up to a staggering 216,614 days of work since the project kicked off in September 2022. 👷‍♂️💪

This site is buzzing with activity, with just over 1,000 workers on the ground, bringing this world-class facility to life. The SeAH Monopile Factory will be Europe’s largest of its kind, playing a crucial role in the future of offshore wind and putting Teesside at the heart of the UK’s green energy revolution. 🌬️⚡

This progress is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and it’s another fantastic example of how Teesworks is delivering for the people of Teesside. We’re building a brighter, greener future right here, creating jobs and transforming our region.

👏 Huge Congratulations to MGL Demolition! 👏

MGL Demolition has been shortlisted for the Industrial Category at the 2024 World Demolition Awards for their work on the Redcar Coke Ovens By-Products Plant, Phase 2 at Teesworks! 🌍🏗️

This project was no small task – MGL played a key role in decontaminating and demolishing one of Teesside’s most complex and challenging sites, helping to pave the way for the regeneration of the former Redcar Steelworks site, the UK’s largest industrial zone. 🚜💪

The project not only demonstrated cutting-edge techniques and problem-solving to safely clear the site but also prioritised local employment by supporting the skills academy and creating opportunities for local people to get involved. It’s a perfect example of how businesses in the North East are making a huge impact on the world stage while driving forward our local economy.

Best of luck to the MGL team as they head to the awards in Stockholm this November. This recognition is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and expertise in handling such a challenging project. 👏

Our booking system will go LlVE on Friday 6th September at 10am 🤩

For now, our largest table accommodates 8 guests. Until we’ve been open long enough to get our team up to speed and iron out any initial issues, this will be the biggest booking we can accommodate!

We kindly ask that you do not book multiple tables to combine, as we cannot facilitate this at present, and you may end up in different parts of the restaurant.

This will help us to deliver our Miller & Carter Steak Experience in terms of hospitality and food quality for all guests.

We understand this may be disappointing but appreciate your support as we work to welcome larger parties in the near future.

Work has started to deliver Middlesbrough's new STACK leisure destination.

The STACK team are on site beneath the A66 flyover as it meets Exchange Square, close to Middlesbrough Railway Station.

The pop-up container village is aiming to open before Christmas and will use 25 shipping containers to feature six street food vendors, three bars and a stage for live music.

And the team has now put out a call for top street food vendors to get in touch to feature fantastic local cuisine at the venue.

🏡🌷🚂 There's no better time to visit the stunning Ormesby Hall than during their Heritage Open Days.

Taking place on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September, the open days allow free entry into the historic home of the Pennyman family where you can uncover their stories, discover intricate model railway layouts and see the beautiful flowers blooming in the garden.

There will be plenty of conservation activities taking place across the weekend to take a look at, including book, bug, textiles and ceramics conservation - not to mention fun interactive activities in the Victorian Laundry for visitors, including being able to have a go at cleaning and polishing.
