Does your dog hate fireworks? We have availability from 4th November, now £90 per night plus £10 per dog per stay. Stay in our peaceful cottage and visit an empty beach instead!

This is Buttermere, next to Crummock Water and Loweswater and all are all within easy reach!

Next availability is bonfire week, 4-11 or 4-8 November. Very useful if you have dogs who hate fireworks...none here!

This is Bridie and she has just completed her 10th visit to Miller Hill Cottage, or maybe it's 11, I have lost count. Bridie now has official 'Princess' status alongside Isla and Penny.

There are quite a few boy dogs in the running for 'Prince' status, some Dobermans, Collies, Boxers, Labs, Skids the Lab has been quite a few times ....but so far the girls are out in front! Yep we really are very dog friendly 😁🐕

I took a drive up the Corney Fell road this afternoon for a stroll and to admire the views.The road is closed at the first bridge (as there is no bridge at the moment!) so almost no traffic, hence a peaceful spot to watch the world go by!

Miller Hill Cottage

Hi, welcome to our newly renovated spacious one bed Lakeland stone cottage for 2 adults plus 1 child (and can also fit in a cot) plus doggies. The cottage is on the west coast of the Lake District National Park, just south of Ravenglass with beautiful mountain and sea views, surrounded by fields, with nothing between the cottage and beach apart from a few sheep (7 min flat walk). Its very peaceful and secluded, with just the owner as neighbour (thats me, I am Carole and my two dogs!)

There is a log burner, huge enclosed garden and we provide a welcome pack, with some essentials plus local goodies and occasionally wine (for weekly lets). There is a fab dog friendly pub 5 mins drive (The Brown Cow). Loads of walks, biking, sailing and fishing on the doorstep and a 15/20 mins walk to nearest rail station (Bootle, Cumbria) for exploring the coast. Lots of things for kids to do too! Competitive rates by booking directly with me.

Our dog policy: We welcome up to 4 well behaved dogs and possibly more if you contact me. Dogs are welcome everywhere in the cottage apart from the bedroom and we have a dog gate, however in certain circumstances we could make exceptions, if you get in touch. Please keep doggies off the chairs, kitchen bench etc, but we allow dogs on the sofa, with a blanket. There is also a separate bin outside on the fence for dog poo.
