🛳️⚓️ ALIESHA’S CRUISE BLOG ⚓️🛳️

I have just returned from a 7 night cruise on the incredible… ❤️ VIRGIN VOYAGES ❤️

If you love cruising and have never been on a Virgin Voyages cruise, I’m sure this blog will leave you wanting to experience one 😍

✈️ I flew out to Barcelona and did a 1 night pre stay at the Mosaic Barcelona by Ona Hotel. This was perfectly situated in the heart of Barcelona close to lots of shops, bars, restaurants and top sights.

🛳️ I then boarded my 7 night cruise the following day. The check in process was simple and stress free. We turned up at our allocated boarding time, they took our luggage and we didn’t see it again until we got to our cabin! We then got given our wristbands before boarding, and this acts as your room key for the cabin, is used for any payments you make onboard and also when you have to scan off and on the ship. I loved having a wristband as it was always on me and I didn’t have to worry about forgetting a ‘key card’ all the time!

🤩 As soon as you step onboard the atmosphere is buzzing. There was a sail away party where you get to meet the ‘Happenings Cast’ (the entertainment team onboard the ship), with a DJ and free glasses of bubbly for an hour! 🥂 After this, everyone gets ready for the pyjama party which goes on late into the night. This really set the scene for the rest of the cruise!

🎉 The entertainment is endless on the ship. There’s a Virgin Voyages app which links to your sailing, and once onboard you can view the event line up for each day. You could never be bored on this ship!! 😅 From trivia in the social club, to live music, performances from the Diva (the onboard Drag Queen 💅🏼), West End style shows, a comedy magician, drag bingo, an arcade & board game corner, casino and so so much more!

❤️ My favourite night was the famous Scarlet Night. This is where everyone dresses up in red and is the biggest event of the whole cruise. It starts in the centre of the ship with music, dancing and an explanation of what Scarlet Night is all about. Followed by a huge pool party on the top deck which was insane! Everyone was dancing, singing, jumping in the pool, and just having the time of their lives!

🍕 And oh my god… THE FOOD!!! This needs a blog of its own! All the food onboard is included in the cost of your cruise. There’s over 20 eateries, NONE OF THEM ARE BUFFETS 🙌 and 6 of these are speciality restaurants. ALL INCLUDED, AT NO EXTRA COST!! I have never eaten so much food in my life, I was sick of food by the end of it 😂

Here’s a look into some of the places we ate at onboard….
✔️ The Galley - the main area of the ship, in a food market style set up. Everything is freshly made to order from burgers, tacos, sushi, a salad bar, all day breakfast, noodles, sandwiches, cakes & so much more!
✔️ Pink Agave - Mexican cuisine with a twist. Starting with tapas style plates so you can try a bit of everything, followed by your main course and dessert.
✔️ Extra Virgin - Italian cuisine and one of our favourite restaurants. You need to make sure you visit here hungry!!
✔️ Pizza Place - serving freshly made to order pizzas until 2am!
✔️ Lick me till ice cream - homemade ice cream, with flavours rotating daily. Perfect after a day exploring off the ship or a late night dessert!

⚓️ My cruise visited: Toulon in France, Marina di Carrara in Italy, Ajaccio in Corsica and an overnight stop in Ibiza!

🌊 I stayed in a Sea Terrace (Balcony) Cabin which had the most comfiest hammock on the balcony. The room was super spacious and the bed was so big and cosy.

🛳️ I cruised on the beautiful Scarlet Lady. All of Virgin’s ships are adults only 🙌 super modern in design and have a boutique feel to them.

I absolutely can’t wait to sail with Virgin Voyages again, they have set the bar high and I don’t think any other cruise line will compare for me now! 🤩😍 It’s not hard to see why they are the world’s number 1 cruise line 🥇
