Our Toddler Sense® classes are a great place for both you and your toddler to make new friends!

We know that even though Toddler's don't necessarily play together, it's important that they play alongside each other and have the chance to interact with other children of a similar age to develop their social skills.

We also know that whilst being a parent is wonderful, it can at times feel difficult, frustrating or isolating too. Coming to a class like Toddler Sense® gives you the opportunity to talk to other parents and gain support from each other as you navigate the ups and downs of parenting!

No classes next week due to half term with my lovely Willow 😍 I will, however, be busy preparing for next term and will be having an admin day Friday so you’re welcome letter and term info will be in your inbox before the weekend 🥳 Most classes now fully booked until January 😳🤩 (January term will be online in next couple of weeks) but a handful of spaces remain on Fridays- but not many! x

Today was the quietest day in Big Mamas history. 😢

We keep looking for reasons as to why this might be happening, but we are coming up at a loss.

We work hard to keep the prices as low as possible for guys, reducing them further would mean the business would not be viable.

We are also working to get the website back up and running, we’ve got a new logo coming and we’ve been trying to make head way on social media (which is frustrating at times!)

Word of mouth is essential for our little soft play. So if you like us, recommend us and share with as many people as possible.

We are not making any drastic decisions because this is the dream for me. Big Mamas has kept me going through some really tough times.

What’s behind the smile? 📸
Just looking at this photo gives me enormous anxiety. My heart races and I feel sick. I was absolutely broken.
Physically, I was very poorly, really poorly. Mentally, this was the day I broke. I was exhausted, frightened and fragile. I sat and cried and cried and cried. I felt useless, anxious and deep in depression. I felt Willow had a raw deal with me as her mum. This was the day I spiralled and broke. I was unable to cope and the panic attacks won. I just wanted it all to end.
The hair? A wig, my hair was falling out..a lot. The makeup? Put on to take a photo, to show the world I was ok. I wasn’t.
World mental health day is a day to have empathy, to acknowledge that physical and mental health are as important as each other, however the system makes us feel it’s not. I couldn’t find help - everywhere I turned, the health professionals said ‘well, it’s no wonder you feel like that 💁🏻‍♀️’ even when I sat sobbing in their offices begging for some support- someone to help ‘fix’ me. Pills after pills after pills I was given. I think I really needed therapy (which I’ve since had, privately), a place to talk, to work through my pain. Mental illness is underfunded and overlooked. I’ve come a long way, but everyday, I get a feeling, the stomach knotting, the worry, it could all come back. I still suffer with anxiety, but I’m much better. You just don’t always know what’s going on behind the smile. I work with new mums everyday, and can see that pain in some of them, I see you. I empathise, I’m here if you ever need to talk, because sometimes you just need a hug, someone who gets it.
Don’t suffer in silence, it’s the worst thing you can do. Talk, talk and talk. There’s no shame to be had, and if anyone makes you feel there is, they are not your people x
