A walk through the bluebell woods just above the cottages - thanks to Ellie Harrison for sending us the video!
We've just opened our bookings for next May so folks can come and experience the spectacle.
The last of the bonfire to clear the brash from the fallen spruces and firs so there's space for the bluebells to emerge.
Making fires and burning things is the best fun so I'm thinking of doing regular workparties for folks who like dragging branches around a wood and throwing them on an inferno.
Who's up for it?
And the tree is down!!!!! Incredible work by the tree surgeons.
We awoke to thick snow this morning so it was a chance to have a play with the snowplough attachment for the quad bike. It was actually so much fun!
The hare is always in the same place on the drive at the moment- she had leverets there last year so I think she could be gearing up for spring.... Roll on mad march hares!
A very cute and bold visitor to the bird feeders today.
Loads of water in the burn today up in the woods. I'm hoping the sun night come out at the weekend though
All this rain has filled up the burn which is rushing down the mini-gorge just behind the house. This is such a wonderful spot to get away from the stresses with the sound of the water and the greenery everywhere.
I've got some friends up from Glasgow this weekend (my 'gal pals' as the teenager calls them). They're staying in the Roundhouse and Pavilion and I've popped down for breakfast. It all quiet at 9am, no sign of stirring, so I'm having a peaceful coffee on the balcony of the Pavilion. And it is so BEAUTIFUL!! 🌳🌿🏞️🌞🐦🐞🦋🌳
Thought I'd try and make a walkthrough video of each of the cottages because they are looking so nice at the moment.
Please note: no BAFTAs were won in the shooting of this video 😂 (and you'll need to hum a tune if you want a soundtrack)
