Our latest farm product, 100% natural wool from our own sheep. We think the natural wool colour looks fantastic with & compliments the natural colours of nature. What do you think?
Wishing #everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024.
A HUGE thank you to all who
supported our fundraising raffle to raise funds for
Brainwave.
🏆Congratulations Trish Sheldon 🏆we look forward to
welcoming you & your family to Triscombe 👏
This morning, on the way to a dance class, "Bella" &
"Fizz" met with Robin Ashburner to draw the raffle.
Our grateful thanks to Robin too, for his continuing
support, charity donation to Brainwave and especially the Exmoor flags for our charity banger rally. Robin was awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Years Honours list 2018 for services to the community.
Robin, a vexillogist for over 55 years, is Chairman of
Red Dragon Flagmakers. He founded the original
company in 1969. Red Flag Makers are the only social mission flagmaker in the world and make custom flags, bunting, everything from one off coat of arms and the smallest of burgees for clients to wedding banners, installations for European galleries and commissions for Government and Royalty. If you’ve been to Triscombe over the past couple of years, you will likely have noticed our flagpole which is in use (when weather permits!) 🇬🇧🏴

Traditional May Day Celebrations were able to take place in Minehead and Dunster today as the Hobby Horse was seen throughout the day.
Based on a pagan tradition, the Hobby Horse starts its journey at 5am in Minehead and dances its way through the surrounding villages until nightfall during the first 3 days in May. There is no known origin but the earliest record of the Minehead horse is in 1830, however in the Dunster Castle records there is a document dated 1795, showing a payment of dues to the Hobby Horse; as far as we know this is the earliest mention of any Hobby Horse in the country!
Here is a short clip from the Hobby Horse visiting Dunster 🏰
